" You know what else I find funny about you..." Terfá said, chuckling to himself, " Your tail. I mean, look at it. It's so flimsy and tiny, like a little teeny tiny branch."When he laughed again, his Ilu jerked forward suddenly, causing him to hold back a gag. Sadly, he was quick to recover, taking only a few seconds before he began laughing again.
" I'm glad you find it amusing." Neteyam huffed. He thought Lo'ak was the one that pushed his irritation to the max, but that was before meeting this drunkard. Terfá has the skill to make his irritation reach earth.
With another deep breath, a useless attempt to calm himself, he asked, " Now are you sure this is the right way?"
The boy shook off Neteyams worry with a shrug as he confidently announced, " For the last time, of course we're going the right way! You see new boy, the Ta'uni clan is found west of us."
Neteyam gritted his teeth, " We're going east!"
Terfá looked up at the sky, pointing while mumbling something to himself before once again reassuring him, " Right right, east is what I meant. Do not fret forest boy, you are with a master directionalist. Some even say, the best on the island. I am so the best, that as the best I can figure out where to go with my eyes closed."
To prove his point, he did exactly that. Shutting his eyes, he added the extra act of reaching his hands around him as if by doing so, the air will somehow direct him to his wanted destination. But Neteyam rolled his eyes when instead all he began to do was tilt over, making his Ilu believe he wanted to turn.
Whistling sharply, Neteyam grabbed the attention of the sea creature which straightened him out, as well as bringing Terfá to open his eyes once again. Smirking with a smug expression, he boasted proudly, " Impressive huh?"
In desperate need of direction to the island, Neteyam had no choice but to quietly ask around for some answers. Except to his luck, all he acquired was vague responses and suspicions looks from the few Na'vis that were still functioning normally and hadn't seen his outburst.
He would've looked for it himself, gone to every damn island around this one if that's what it took to find Vareya. But he knew that would be a waste of his time and energy. He needed someone that knew exactly where the island was.
Then to not raise more attention than he already had, Neteyam had no choice but to rely on a half wasted guy. In the beginning it seemed like a great plan, he had found someone that seemed drunk enough that he won't remember all of this tomorrow, yet aware enough to direct him to his destination.
But it seemed Neteyam had underestimated the strength of those drinks they had been handing around earlier. The effects similar to what the human scientists back at home called, 'getting drunk on alcohol'.
If possible, these effects either seemed to be worse or this guy was enjoying the festival too much and kept on downing those drinks. It didn't matter now though, because Neteyam was stuck relying on him anyways.
He supposes compared to most of the village clan members he did seem more accepting and on the kind side, but he also supposes that can be from his currently hazy state. The second Neteyam approached and asked for help, Terfá was slinging his arms around Neteyams shoulders with a smile as he began to guide him outside the cove, accepting to help immediately.
The eldest Sully boy believed he had lucked out with him, but of course, why would anything go right for him? As soon as they began their trip, Neteyam realized just how wasted this guy was as he began to talk about all the things about Neteyam that he found funny. Not to mention how Terfás slurred words and constant heaves added to his regret.
