I got a call leading up to the car on my personal phone. I slowed in my steps, wondering who it could be. In honesty, I only have Axel's number...by default. He practically forced me to save his number. I shook my head and answered.

"Hello?"

"I know where the fuck you are Asher." Fear. It was instant fear. "Mayor of Belower Town?" She scoffs, a maniacal laugh following suit. "When I get out I'm going to come for my fucking kids." She spat. "You can't keep them away from me Asher. You can't keep them away from me!"

"You can't fucking keep them away from me!" She says banging on the screen. She spat and punched the divider between us. She's gone now, not forever, but for a long while.

"They're my kids Asher! My kids!" She was dragged away. "Please! They're my kids!"

"When I find you I'm going to kill you!"

I hung up. "Dad?" I looked down at Allen and wiped my eyes. "A-are you o-okay?"

"Yeah, just um...yeah." I motioned for him to get in the car and he got in the passenger seat. Amper and Ashton were busy playing rock paper scissors and whatever other hand game they could think of.

I was in a frenzy, wiping my forehead, clearing my throat, and wetting my tongue. She found me. Social media, TV? Doesn't matter how, but she found me. I shouldn't have called from my phone.

I should throw it away. We should move. We have to move. I jerked when I felt a touch on my face. I looked over and Allen was wiping tears I had no idea fell.

"What's wrong dad?" Ashton asks. Then Amper leaned up, helping Allen on the other side. Ashton just rubbed my shoulder to ease my nerves. True to myself, I felt better.

"It's going to be okay dad." Amper says now patting the top of my head.

"Yeah, whatever it is, we're here to kick their butt. Whatever." Ashton speaks. I found myself smiling finally, feeling more eased.

"Thanks one," I poked Ashton's side. He backed away to avoid tickles. I turned around and got Amper. "Two."

He laughed and I decided to catch Ashton undetected. Laughter filled the car along with pleas. I stopped, ruffling their hair. I fixed and looked at Allen.

I reached out, touching the top of his head. "And three." My phone buzzed again and I hesitated. I didn't answer, I didn't even look at it.

It rang about three times.

"Dad your phone."

"I know...just ignore it." We got home soon and again my phone rang. I checked the screen this time and sighed a breath of relief. It's Axel.

"Hello?"

"I hope you didn't forget about tonight." I did.

"Of course not. 8p.m."

"I'll send you the location, can't wait to see you bud. Also, I noticed how late you were for the boys, everything alright?"

"Yeah, just work."

"Mm, been there. I know that feeling."

I nodded. "Yeah."

"Okay...I'll see you soon then."

"Yeah...soon."

Amper, Ashton and Allen were all dressed in their suits, their hair fixed neatly. I almost never know what to do with Allen's hair. He has so much and the texture is different from his brothers. I just brushed it as best as I could and let it fall to his shoulders.
