The rain was still at large. I had put Jasmine's clothes in the dryer and showered. When I was done with my shower thinking about what to do when Amper and Ashton gets all moody about their mother.

Peculiar as it is, Allen never shows enough worry about her. I don't like how he separates himself from his brothers though. But he never really mentions her, never really asks about her or where she is. Sometimes, but not all the time.

I felt embarrassed though, having to talk about their mother in front of Jasmine. Speaking of which, our near kiss once more. I barely know her and yet...I react that way.

I want to kiss her and hold her and just...be gentle. She's like silk.

After my shower I made my way back downstairs where they were all at the table, eating. Another embarrassing factor. I really need to shop. I never shop at grocery stores though. Just like food, it's delivered.

Minimum human interaction. The irony of being a Mayor.

Ashton laughed. "That's hilarious."

"It's true." Jasmine says grinning. I just stood by the stairs, watching them. All four of them sitting and eating and chatting. It looked to be complete. Like she was the missing piece this entire time.

She's so beautiful.

Come on Asher, be nice.

"Can you tell me more about yourself?" Ashton asks.

"Yeah, I like you." Says Amper. And he'd just been crying about his mother.

"What would you want to know?"

"Does you have siblings?"

"I do. A brother."

"Really?! Where is he?"

She shrugs. "I don't know."

"Why don't you know?"

"Well...I haven't seen him since I was sixteen."

"Really? How old are you now?"

Ashton smacked his hand. "Dude you can't ask that she's a woman."

"It's okay. No need to hit each other. But, I'm twenty."

Twenty?! Did I ever ask her age? I don't think I ever did during the interview. She looks older. A heavy twenty-five. But twenty? Is that okay?

I'm twelve years older than her.

"Why don't you see your brother?" Amper questions on.

"Well...I met someone I liked at fifteen and then ran away with him at sixteen...but I ran away from him too." She says softly.

"Why?" Ashton follows.

There was a bit of silence. "He...wasn't nice anymore."

"What do you mean?" Asks Amper.

I finally made my presence known. Running away at sixteen to be with someone? I guess all of our sixteens are different. We're still kids then, thinking we know what's best for us. We fall in love, we do stupid shit. But to think she was just sixteen five years ago.

The age difference made me wince a bit. Five years ago I had just come here and instantly ran for Mayor. Five years ago I had three five year olds. Five years ago...I had ran away.

"What are you four up to?" I ruffled Allen's hair and gazed at her. She avoided my stare. Now that I've noticed I'm matching with her. Tan T and long tan pants. I didn't mean to, it just happened.

"Ms.Jasmine was telling us some stories and about herself. She made us an omelette look." Ashton says lifting his plate. I can only see a piece of what was on there.
