The next day came and I was more than excited to get to work. I took the bus, more confident than last time. For today's wear, a beige cottage style dress and heels. And I let my hair out in mini curls.

I reached the school and made my way inside and straight to the library. Yesterday I had to meet the principal to let him know of my presence here at the school and why I'm here.

Julia did most of the talking. Apparently she's the one paying me, not the school. I made it to the library and she was ecstatic to see me.

"I love the dress. Gosh, such wonderful skin. And your hair too. I've read a lot on albino's and I must say I am obsessed. It's like finding diamond." She giggles. I let her talk, offering a few thank you's.

I did the usual fix and put backs. I recorded names in the book and wrote the reason for the visit. More kids came in today. All nice and curious, asking a lot of questions about me.

I even had a tiny crowd until Julia shoo'ed them off. I didn't mind it at all.

"Okay, here you go." I looked at Julia as she set something in front of me. A muffin. "I baked two batches last night for this afternoon's session and I thought why wait. Have yourself a break, you've been working very hard the past one and a half days."

"Oh, thank you."

"Go on in the office, I've got it from here."  I did as I was told and thanked her again. I took a seat and sighed. Everything is so quiet, so peaceful. I noted the window just behind her desk.

I could gaze out and study the clouding sky. It's going to rain soon. I'm not so sure I like the rain.

"You think you could run away from me!? Huh?!"

"I'm sorry! Baby please don't hurt me."

He dragged me out by my hair and onto the wet grass. The rain pelting my skin as he didn't care who could hear me, or see me. That crackling thunder jolted through my body and made me quiver.

I could taste the blood in my mouth. But what he was doing was simple degration. Having me lay out there to think about what I did. He watched me from the porch as I laid in the freezing cold rain.

I couldn't do anything. I avoided doing anything to make him even more angry. After an hour he brought me back inside and made me change. He brushed my hair, fed me, coddled me...told me he was sorry for lashing out.

That he didn't mean it. It was all a lie. They were all lies. He took pride in what he did and I never knew what was true sometimes. But after almost dying...I knew I had to get away before I did die.

I suddenly wasn't hungry anymore. But I forced myself to eat the delicious treat I'd been gifted as salty tears fell from my eyes.

But I just stared and continued to stare. I'm safe here. I'm far away from him. He won't find me. Please God don't let him find me.

When I got to the school I saw Amper, Ashton and Allen all sitting in waiting for me at the stairs. I was on time today, but Allen has classes this afternoon. I made it to them and stood to their feet.

By the look on their faces, they all look to be in a bad mood. Some kids that past snickered. Ashton got up to walk past me but I stopped him.

"Woah, slow down. What's wrong?" Nothing. I got to their level in need of an answer. "Come on tell me what's wrong?"

"It's nothing dad, can we just go now?" Ashton demands.

"Allen has classes. So after. Come on." Amper groaned but they still followed me back inside. I know class doesn't start in the next thirty minutes but I had nothing else to do.
