They say that when you find your soulmate, it's like pure bliss. Euphoria. They say that your soulmate is someone who understands you perfectly. Someone that knows you like the back of their hand. They say that you fall for them immediately and they fall for you. They say that your soulmate will be your best friend but more. They say that finding your soulmate is the best thing that will ever happen to you. They say, they say, they say.

It's not true. Don't believe them. They are wrong.

They say that you'll know when you find him or her or them or whatever. This time, they're not wrong. You will know. Because you feel your heart flutter and fall apart. Your breath catches. You can't breathe. Time stops for just a second. Your mind goes numb. You can't feel anything. The only. thing in your mind is them.

But when you find your soulmate, it's heart wrenching pain. Despair and anger rips through your body. Because they're yours but you aren't theirs. Because they have one, except it isn't you.
