"Is this some kind of sick joke?" You ask
"Well did you or did you not shot John?" The man on the other line says
"No it was self defence. He was going to kill us" You explain but see an incoming call from Andy. You quickly end the first call and answer the second call.
"Y/n what ever you do don't call that number back. It's a lawyer-" your husband warns you
"It's a little late for that...." You say
"Fuck! What did you tell him?" Andy asks
"Nothing just it was self defence" you say
"Nothing else?" He asks
"No Andy what the hell is going on?" You ask him
"Just stay calm. I'll take care of it" he says "I promise" he always takes care of all your problems "I will come home late could you pick up Matt?" Andy asks
"Of course. Andy I'm scared" you admit
"Don't be. I'll take care of it, this will be over before you even know it" Andy says
"Okay" you say but you quickly put the phone away when you see one of the kids walking around. You are not aloud to have your phone up around the kids so you quickly end the call and put the phone away. While you are at work playing with kids Andy is on his way over to Steven's law firm.
Andy storm through the door and a woman by the desk looks at him "can I help you sir?" She asks
"Where the fuck is Derek Anderson?" Andy asks her
"Sir I'm not going to give you any information about him until you calm down" she stand up from her desk getting closer to Andy
"That son of a bitch better be in that same old stupid office" Andy storms of
"Security stop him" the lady says but the guards were to slow.
Andy was already in the lift on his way home the fifth floor. Andy storms past all the offices knowing exactly what office to go to.
Andy kicks open the door. He sees Derek flirting with one of his secretary. They both get scared.
Derek look at Andy "Andy Barber?"
"Derek Anderson" Andy says out of breath
"What are you doing here?" Derek asks as he points telling his secretary to leave the room
"You're charging my wife with murder, you son of a bitch" Andy walks up to him grabbing his by his shirt. Andy makes a fist ready to moving Derek in the face
"No wait wait wait" Derek begs "your married to Y/n? She like half your age" Derek jokes as Andy ouches him away "look I didn't know she was your wife"
"Good now you know. Drop the charges and don't you dare call her again" Andy says
"It's not that easy" Derek explains "one of John family member contacted me offering to pay me 60.000 dollars to get justice. They have already paid. I have to go forward with this" Derek says "it's nothing personal" he explains
"I'll pay you double" Andy says "heck I'll pay you triple. Drop the charges" Andy says
"I'm going to need a check first" Derek says
Andy sighs grabbing his check book. Under seconds he writes a 1.8 million dollar check "here" Andy hands it to him "call her and apologise saying it was a mistake" Andy says and walking towards the exit
"Andy wait" Derek says Andy stops and turns around "it was good seeing you. I feel like it's the good old days. You and me working here, competing for who's going to become a better lawyer. Clearly you man" he says
"You're just as good of a lawyer as me Derek. Just don't ever call my wife again" Andy says walking away
Derek just chuckles.
The back story behind why the two of them know each other is short. They used to work together long time ago when two of them had just finished law school. Tho the they of were equally as good lawyers Andy got an opportunity to work in the law first he works at now. He didn't hesitate because he gets paid millions for what he does.
You are at home with Matt making dinner when Andy gets home
"Hey guys" he says walking over to the kitchen. He losses his tie and opens the top three button on his shirt.
"Daddy" Matt runs up to Andy hugging him
"Hey buddy what are you up to?" Andy asks
"Making dinner with Y/n" he says
"Wow smells great" Andy says as he walks up to you "hey love" he kisses you on the lips then grabs himself some water.
"So I got a call from Derek the lawyer" you start of by saying
"Yeah what did he say now?" Andy asks
"Strangely he called to apologise, saying it was some misunderstanding" you say and look over at Andy who's smiling "what?" You ask
"Nothing" Andy says still smiling
"What did you do?" You ask
"I handled it" Andy says "I told you don't have to worry" he says
"how did you handle it?" You ask curious trying to get to bottom to what he's smiling.
"I knew the guy" Andy says as he takes a bite of the mash potatoes you had made "Mmm delicious" he takes another bite
"That's is? You just know him and he drops all charges?" You ask
"No I paid him triple the anouth his clients were. He backed off" Andy says
You you smile and shack your head "your crazy" you say
"I love you" he walks over and kisses you
"So need help with anything?" He asks
"No you go shower I'll set the table" you say
"Okay" Andy walks past Matt as he messes up his hair in the way up
"Oh and Andy" you say he stops and turns around "thanks you" you tell him. He smiles at you.
You set the table and the three of you enjoy dinner together as a little family.
