Colton helps me out of the tub

He retrieved a towel wrapping it around my body. My eyes were bloodshot from the complex emotions I was feeling.
His touch was gentle and reassuring.

Carefully carrying me into the bedroom he set me down. Grabbing the fresh set of clothes he helps me dress. The feeling is indescribable.

The overwhelming turmoil. The sorrow. The fact I found his touch comforting was a reminder of just how broken I had become. Nobody would come here to save me.

Nobody cares about me.

His soft tender touch contact like Ying yang with the turmoil I was feeling

Once I was dressed he softly placed me on the bed.
He softly grabs ahold of my ankle.

Looking at the handcuff still attached to the bed.

"Colton please don't. I'll be good." I plead to beg him broken.

"Shh, it's okay Hannah. I'll let you off tomorrow you need to rest and take a nap. You look exhausted." Colton tells me snapping the cuff on my newly freed ankle.

He tucks me in under the soft, warm covers. His concern is palpable, his gaze soft and unwavering.

"You are okay, alright when you wake up I'll let you off again okay baby?" he asks, his voice tender.

I nod, feeling a sense of helplessness still looming over me.

My lip quivered.
"Okay," I say still sad as tears fall.

He smiles softly and sits beside me on the bed. "Just rest now. I'll be here with you."

He dims the lights and starts a movie on the TV, picking something light and comforting.

As the soft glow of the screen lights the room, Colton sits close, feeling the heat of his body as he sits close by.

Why?! Why?! He was the one that brought my discomfort, to begin with.

We watch the movie in silence, the warmth of his care and the simplicity of the moment bringing a sense of calm.

What the hell is wrong with me?!

I feel my exhaustion fade away from my
Eyelids have grown heavy.

Eventually, as the movie plays Colton gently helps me settle in more comfortably. He sits by my side, his hand resting lightly on mine.

As the movie plays and the room grows quieter, Colton continues to stay by my side, his presence somehow comforts me in a way. He occasionally glances at me, making sure I'm okay, and every so often, he gently adjusts the covers or brushes a stray strand of hair from my face. Aiding in my eyelids fights heavily with sleep.

I drift into a peaceful sleep. Exhaustion quickly wins.

When he notices I'm pretty much asleep, he carefully gets up from the bed, being as quiet as possible to avoid disturbing me. He turns off the TV and dims the lights even further, making sure the room is as peaceful as possible.

He quietly exits the room.
The door squeaks slightly his footsteps softly echo as he walks downstairs

Off in the distance in I presume the kitchen, I hear slight Russells of pots and pans as he prepares a simple meal something light and comforting,

knowing that I might need to eat when I wake up. He makes sure to set it aside, ready for when I feel up to eating.
