I was rudely woken from my slumber. By the sound of gunfire in the distance. I rubbed my eyes tiredly, not wanting to deal with the real world that was unfolding around me. I let out a stiff yawn, looking around at my surroundings. I became increasingly frightened at the sound I had just heard when Colten opened the door and closed it quietly, afraid to wake me. I suppose he turned and looked at me. He gasped, his mouth forming an O shape, looking at me surprised. "What are you doing up? He glared at me slightly. "H snapped at me.

"Um, um, I woke up to a loud sound and managed to choke out looking at my feet, finding them increasingly interesting at that moment. I looked up to see Colten with blood all over his body. Oh, how that frightened me so. I backed up, and he took a step forward, and this kept going until he hit the wall and a hiss left my lips.

"Just where do you think you are going, Hannah? he said with a snarl. My breathing hitched as I looked around the room for an exit. I looked past him at the door, not even 10 feet away. He turned his head and saw what I was looking at. He leaned in dangerously close to my ear. He whispered in my ear, "If you know what is good for you, I wouldn't do that."

My thoughts were racing in my head—a mile to nothing—and I had to get out of here. So I decided to escape now while my adrenaline was pumping through my veins. I stepped on his foot and made a run for it. While my decision to step on his foot didn't slow him down, he held a look of rage on his face.

As he stood there, not bothering to chase after me, "Hannah," he said in a calm tone, too calm for my liking. "If you come back now, you won't get into trouble. I'm going to count to three, and you better get over here. However, if I have to get you, the consequences, I promise, will be the most severe.

I ignored him, running as though my life depended on it, which I guess it did. My breathing came out ridged as I ran and ran. I stopped and hid behind a tree to catch my breath. When all of a sudden he grabbed me, I fought and wiggled with all my might. "I wish you would have just come willingly, "he said, looking at me in disappointment.

He held onto my hair, dragging me, my feet not touching the ground as I crawled at his fingers. "Let me go, you dick," I said with anger. "no! " He let out a hearty laugh. "I'll never let you go, he said as he continued to drag me, hurting me. Tears are now streaming down my face. The branches broke the skin on my feet. This kept going on until we reached his house and opened the door. I just escaped from it and slammed my body against the door. His face held so much anger until he looked at my face. "I won't ever hurt you," he whispered. His hand was brushing across my face, wiping the tears off my face. Looking down at my feet, "Baby, are you okay? He whispered, picking me up, walking me back to the bathroom, sitting me on the counter, looking at my feet, getting a cloth, and whipping the blood off. He took me by surprise, hugging me. He looked at me with soft eyes and said, "Please don't do that again."

"We will go over the rules and things tomorrow, alright?" I nod, saying "Okay." Tomorrow, we will also go over what you did and the consequences of your actions.

"Would you like a shower?"He whispered, smiling slightly.

"Yes, please," I say.

He responds with a smirk, Well, I'll leave you to it. He leans in, kissing my lips softly. He pulled away, winked, and left the bathroom.

While I stood there dumbfounded.
