"CHASE!!! WAKE UP!!!" Ralph yelled from downstairs, "CHASE, YOU NEED TO WAKE UP!!!"
Chase grumbled, getting up reluctantly, leaving his Alastair body pillow behind.
"Wha?" Chase rubbed his eyes as he walked down to the kitchen.
"Chase finally you're up!" Deacon, who was reading a book, said.
"Ughhh..." Chase mumbled. Of course, Dorkin is already pestering him.
"Can you just not right now, I just woke up!" Chase opened up the pantry to find nothing breakfasty to eat.
"Ughhhh, we need to go to the store." Chase dragged his feet as he went to the fridge.
"Ughhhhhh, and we only have eggs and other stuff!" Chase could hear the grumbles from Deacon, but Chase was too tired to change his attitude.
"Ughhh and I'm tired!" Chase grumbled. Deacon stood up, "Chase I swear to God if you complain one more time..."
"Ughhh, Dorkin, why are you so lame!"
Deacon exhaled. "Maybe I wouldn't be lame if you would stop whining like a baby!"
"Buuuttttt I'm eighteen!!!!" Chase decided eggs would have to do and grabbed them. Suddenly Ralph came out of the laundry room.
"Exactly, you're eighteen, about to be nineteen, so if I were you I would be trying to find a job." Ralph took the eggs from Chase and started cooking.
"Hey, I can cook those!" Chase said to his grandpa.
"Grandpa please don't let him cook, last time he almost burnt the whole house down." Of course, Deacon is ruining all the fun. Ralph sighed.
"Chase, why don't I do the cooking, okay?"
"UGHHH okay...."
After breakfast, Chase immediately went into his room, Deacon following behind.
"So, Chase, you've been going into stories lately?" Deacon showed Chase one of his cheap romance books."Yes, Dorkin, I have been going into books." Chase took out a stack of book and looked at the cover of them.
"Without me?" Why did Deacon look so hurt?
"Well if you want to go into books you're more than welcome to go without me!" Chase threw one book over his shoulder.
"What has been with you lately, it's like you don't want to get Narratonin anymore. It's like you're...distracted." Deacon turned Chase so he was looking at him, "What's going on?" They stood there for what felt like 20 minutes before someone spoke.
"Is it Buddy?"
Chase huffed, "In a way, yes."
"What has he been doing?" Chase closed his eyes because once he tells Deacon he won't hear the end of it.
"He's my boyfriend.....we're dating.....and Buddy...he's just too hot not to get distracted." Chase swore Deacon stopped breathing after hearing that, his silence speaking exactly what he was thinking.
"You-" Deacon exhaled, "Your dating Buddy???!!!! Chase you dumbie, what is wrong with you!!!!"
"What's wrong with that?" Chase crossed his arm.
"There are so many things wrong with that, Buddy is our enemy-"
"Look, just for your information, me and Buddy are chill, he doesn't want to fight me anymore, so it's all cool." Chase continued back to finding books.
"So that's it, you're done getting Narratonin?" Deacon looked worried, but why Chase didn't know.
"No I didn't say that, actually I'm getting more Narratonin, cause surprise surprise Buddy makes me happy." Chase threw a book at Deacon, almost hitting him in the face.
Deacon dropped the book. "Okay well, I'm glad you're happy, but don't come crying to me when Buddy uses you."
"Oh, I'm not worried, Buddy would never use me."
Chase finally found a book he liked. The location in the book was Paris, a perfect date location.
"Buddy? Buddy?!" Chase yelled.
It took a while but Chase finally found Buddy, who was sitting on a bench.
"Hey Buddy! What's up!" Chase ran over to Buddy, attempting to kiss him, but Buddy avoided the kiss.
"Buddy, what's w..."
Buddy sighed, "We need to break up."
