Chase sat on the bed, waiting. Buddy was using the restroom so all Chase could do was sit there and stare at the basket of clothes. Then Chase got an idea. He went inside his closet and waited. Finally Buddy came into his room.

"Chase?" He said. "Chase where are you?" He looked around the room. Chase snickered.

"Chase?" Buddy looked straight at the closet. "Hmm I see..." He whispered.

"Fine I'm going to leave since someone doesn't want to hang out with me." Buddy smirked.

"What? No?" Chase ran out of the closet and hugged Buddy. "I am keeping you hostage."

"Oh no." Buddy said sarcastically. "I'm so scared. What will I ever do?"

"You could kiss me."

"Chase, we made out for like 20 minutes..."

"Don't care." Chase shook his head.

"You can never get enough, can you?" Buddy smiled.

"Nope...say since we made out, what does that mean?"

"What?"

"Like you broke up with me, but we made out....what does that mean for us?"

"Oh." Buddy paused. "I-I'm not sure."

"Are you not comfortable or ready to date?"

"Oh no, it's not that...it's just I'm afraid if you date me you'll be in danger."

"How would I be in danger?"

"Ex Libris hasn't gotten the keys yet...which means he is coming back for me...unless..." Buddy thought for a second. "Has your freckled friend come home yet?"

"Not that I know of. Why?"

Buddy's eyes went wide. "Chase, Ex Libris must have stolen Deacon to try and get the keys from you."

"Hmmmmm......nahhh."

"Chase, you don't know Ex Libris like I do, I know how far he'll go to get the keys."

"Well I am still mad at him!"

"But he could be in danger!"

"Well he did something bad..." Chase crossed his arms.

"You know, someone once told me that someone who does bad things doesn't make them a bad person." Buddy held Chase's hand. "Maybe he did it for a reason."

"He told me my mom died! I know that's a lie....." Chase looked uncertain either that or he was about to cry."

"I bet your mom's okay."

"But you are right, he's my cousin, and he can't help that he's lame and a dork....Buddy you must help me save him."

"Chase I can't..." Buddy backed away.

"I know most of your trauma is about Ex Libris but you must, you know where to go or where he can be held."

"CHASE I CAN'T!!! And you know I can't." Buddy had his arms wrapped around himself.

"Can you at least tell me?" Chase asked.

"Um...if you go to the big mansion by the cemetery, go inside and sneak your way in the library, one of the books is connected to a secret chamber. But I don't remember which book triggers it. But there is one book that is a false trigger and will sound an alarm, please try not to pull that. Once you open the door, go in it and pull the lever to close the door. Walk all the way down and open the stone doors and your cousin should be there, you got it?"

"Oh wow, um yes I got it. Do you know which book is the false trigger?"

"No, I can't remember. But I think there's a poem or riddle somewhere in one of the books that says the answer."

"Ok, well I'm off then." Chase walked to the door.

"Wait, you're going now?" Buddy grabbed Chase's hand.

"Buddy, if you want to come with me you're more than welcome."

"I.......no...." Buddy let go of Chase's hand.

"Okay well I'm off then. Bye. Love you. I'll be back." Chase kissed Buddy which made him blush. Chase walked out of his room and he was on his way.

"Hopefully." Buddy muttered.

"Um, how are you going to help me?" Deacon asked.

"I have no idea." Violet thought for a moment. "I might need help from someone." Suddenly one of Ex Libris's workers came into view. The guy looked horrible. Eye bags, pale, skinny, and his clothes were ripped. He also had some bald spots. He was hunched shaky.

"Hey you!" Violet called.

"Hmm?" The guy turned down to see the key. "Hey, aren't you supposed to be in key form?"

"Doesn't matter, help this guy out." Violet ordered.

"W-wait I can't, Boss will punish me!" The guy went eyes wide and he started hyperventilating.

"Hey, don't worry Boss told me to tell you to let him free."

"W-w-wait really?" The guy smiled but in a very creepy way.

"Yes so can you help him?"

"Yesyesyesyes." He used the key to open the cell and unlocked Deacon's chains. Deacon was pretty sure the guy has pink eye so he moved his head away, no kidding that the poor guy smelled horrible.

"T-there you go." The guy said as he walked away.

"Wow..." Deacon let out a relieved breath. "How old was that guy?"

"89."

"Wait what?"

"Yep, turning 90 in a few weeks." Deacon stared at Violet.

"You gotta be kidding me..."

"Nope." Violet sighed. "Ex Libris liked taking older people hostage. Now come on, let's go before Boss catches us.
