chpt 4 ➛ shidou

Staring at Sae was fascinating. No one had ever intrigued Shidou this much before, ever. He was staring into Sae's soul as if it would talk back to him and answer these never ending questions that he had in his head. The more he thought about what he was doing the more he thought about how he probably looked like a freak to Sae, but he didn't care. 

Sae was just irresistible.

He had way too much fun with him today, and the thought that he could get to play with him again soon exited him even more. But as much as he wanted to mount Sae and crawl all over him every time they met, Shidou knew that to stay on Sae's good side he had to tone it down a notch... or maybe a few.

He had to tame himself, if you will.

Later that night, when everyone parted ways, and Shidou had gone back to his quiet empty dorm, the only thing on his mind was Sae. He plopped himself onto the couch, and pulled up messages.

He wanted to test his luck.

He turned off his phone and set it beside him, not expecting him to reply any time soon. But a second later, it buzzed.

Shidou chuckled, and got comfortable on his couch.

Shidou wasn't the most humble guy in the world, but he was humble enough to realise Sae is not into him in that way. Shidou knew Sae wouldn't say yes to being asked out, or to just hang out them 2 alone to really get to know eachother. He knew the only way to make it so him and Sae are together alone was football.

Shidou had only known Sae for a few days, but one of the things he first realised about Sae was his passion for football. Shidou thought that maybe, if they continued to play with eachother 1 to 1, he would finally start talking more about himself. People tend to talk more when they're doing something they love, or feel passionate about. Plus, playing with someone at such a high level like Sae was, was also helping him improve at football.
