I woke up dazed and confused on the bitterly cold Monday. My head ached and my stomach churned as I jogged into a cold shower. Today was going to be a long day.
"Tulsa! Would you like French toast?" My mother questioned, as she read the latest addition to Home Magazine.
"No thanks mom." I mumbled as a grabbed a nectarine.
"Okay, darling see you after practice! Make sure to take your vitamins" She smiled as Savannah gracefully walked into the kitchen.
"I will! Bye Mom Bye Savannah." I groaned walking toward the front door. I opened the door feeling a blast of morning air. It was an uncomfortably cold day but, hopefully it would warm up.
I ran to my car trying to avoid the chilling air. My thoughts were consumed by the overwhelming amount of homework I had acquired on Friday.
The music filled my lonesome car as I drove through a populated city. The city of Portland was quite picturesque and I unquestionably adored it, Portland, my home.
Gracefully, I pulled into the occupied student parking lot. I parked extremely close to the school feeling a bit indolent today.
Michael and Erin stood near the parking lot, looking over as I walked toward them. Erin placed me in a lovingly warm embrace. "Hello Tass!" Erin giggled as she stared at me.
"You look terrible." She proclaimed as she furrowed her brows in confusion. "I know, I think its allergies." I announced, rubbing my eyes harshly.
"Maybe you shouldn't go to practice today! I can tell Coach you don't feel well because you look like shit." Erin noted as she let go of my forearm.
"Don't be silly! I can practice perfectly fine just need to take my vitamins and I'll be okay."
Erin rolled her eyes as she grabbed my arm and guided me toward Carson High School. "Hi Michael." I smiled as he stood next to me.
"Hey Tass." He gleamed looking down at me happily.
The morning bell erupted as we all scattered toward our classes. "I'll see you later Tass!" Michael and Erin chorused as we departed our separate ways.
Slowly I walked off to my English class slouching all the way there.
I tastelessly walked into the blue room throwing myself into my chair. I gasped lowly as I put my head on my desk. The tardy bell sounded and there was no sight of Danielle. It was somewhat of a positive because, I didn't have to hear her constant chatter with the neighboring tables.
"Hello and Good morning! Tulsa please head off the desk I want to see that beautiful face of yours." Mrs. Walters loudly spoke as I raised my head. I faintly smiled as she called roll.
"I hope everyone revised their essays this weekend." She announced as she placed her roster down. I opened my colorful bag grabbing my manila folder. "Please pass them up" Mrs. Walters instructed as I handed in my folder.
Mrs. Walters collected our folders in a hurry which meant she was up to something. When was this woman not up to something? She rushed back to her desk and placed the folders down.
"Those will probably be graded later on in the period but, for now I would like to talk about modes of persuasion. Hopefully you all have paper out to take notes."
A noise of scattering papers erupted the room causing Mrs. Walters to smile mischievously. After digging in my bag I finally found a piece of paper and a pencil.
"That was about three minutes you guys took off of your project working." Mrs. Walters announced as she strolled through the large class room.
"So, does anyone know the definition of modes of persuasions?" She asked loudly.
