My heart raced as the referee blew the game starting whistle. Today was the day that my dreams would come true. Coach Ana Hefley had told my parents that scouts would be at our first game, and they were.

It was exciting! All my life I wanted to be a soccer player, and if I played my heart out it could happen, I would make it happen.

"Tass!" Erin screamed, passing me the ball. We were like partners in crime Erin and I on and off the field, we just worked well. The opposing team began to chase me like little kids on the playground. I managed to weave through them.

Now, it was just the goalie and I. She dominantly moved in the goal watching every move I made.

"Tulsa do something!" Coach Hefley shouted, forcing me to concentrate on the task at hand, scoring. Quickly, I moved around dribbling the black and white ball. I then kicked the ball toward the goal hoping I would score the first goal of the season.

The soccer ball seemed as if it were going in slow-motion toward the goalie. She lunged at the ball but, her attempt at stopping it was unsuccessful. The ball went into the goal causing the crowd to scream in happiness.

I had done it, I had made the first goal of the season. The goalie was good but, I was better. She groaned out in aggravation as we all ran to the middle of field, kick off began again. Erin kicked the ball toward the youngest starter, Eva. She was fast but, wasn't aggressive.

"Stay back seventeen!" Coach Delilah instructed, talking to me.

Eva stood there facing number fifteen from the opposing team. And the girl in front of Eva was not here to play games. "Eva pass the freaking ball." A manly voice screamed from the crowd. Fifteen, who strangely looked like Hope Solo stole the sacred ball away from the freshman.

Lana raced for the ball but, the girl was just too quick for her. "Get back there Erin!" Coach Hefley screamed at my best friend. The girl who looked like Hope Solo stood in front of Renee a timid sophomore. "Are you going to do anything?" Number fifteen asked Renee rudely.

I ran over to them. Just like her I wasn't here to play games. I swiftly stole the ball from her rude clutches. She screamed out in annoyance chasing after me. "Lana!" I screamed, passing it toward the best right midfielder in the state. Lana was in her element, she gracefully kicked the ball to Erin who kicked the ball harshly into the goal.

"Yes!" I said running over to the sweaty Erin quickly high-fiving her. Taylor Eva's best friend stood near the referee motioning me over. I sighed running over to the bench. "Get up!" Delilah told the other girls sitting down. They all happily high fived me as Whitney, our athletic trainer handed me a water bottle.

"You are on fire tonight!" Whitney exclaimed, watching me drink the whole bottle of water. The bleachers were filled with familiar faces and they all cheered us on. It was exhilarating to play a game that you loved in front of the people you loved.

"Tulsa, you okay to go back in?" Coach Ana Hefley questioned. "Of course!" I smiled and she nodded motioning me in closer. "Go get Eva little girl is playing like a maniac!" She mumbled, letting me loose into the last three minutes of the game.

Eva ran to the benches looking defeated, I would look the same way if I had tied up a match we were winning. But, I was proud of Eva and I understood her, she was just like me playing varsity as a freshman. She definitely had potential and I think everyone on the team knew that.

The annoying Hope Solo lookalike ran up to me dribbling the ball. Her foot work was impeccable but, so was mine. We then began to fight for the sacred ball while the play clock ticked on. We were not going into overtime!
