"Date him already please." Erin shouted pushing me off of her bed. "You know I'm tired of you being single and you not dating Harry Styles." She continued."I love how you always harass me about getting a boyfriend but, you haven't dated a boy since Karl Claiborne." I exclaimed laying down on Erin's messy floor.
Karl Claiborne was an attractive sophomore who played baseball and Erin had dated our freshmen year. Erin was madly in love with him and would always talk about him. Karl five months later broke up with Erin saying he "would rather die than date her for any longer." Karl would later regret saying those cruel words to Erin because, that same day at practice Luke had "accidentally" thrown a curve ball at Karl hitting him in the jaw. The next week Karl moved schools and we never heard about him ever again.
"Fuck Karl Claiborne! He was so rude, I'm glad Luke was so mean to him!" Erin yelled. Luke always had a sweet spot for Erin.
"Tulsa I really need to tell you about the party." Erin sighed as she faced me. I began to nod in excitement, I had been waiting for weeks wondering what had happened at Aubrey's party.
"After you and Harry left, I had a few more drinks and-""Erin! It's time for dinner." Erin's mother shouted, making me scream internally. I wanted to know what happened at the party so bad! "I'll tell you later." She said clapping her hands together. We slowly walked down stairs as Austin, Erin's younger brother shoved her into the wall and sprinted downstairs.
"Austin! I am going to stab you." Erin yelled running downstairs. "Erin use your inside voice." Erin's mom sighed trying to shush the loud girl.
"Mom..." Erin groaned flopping down next to Austin. Erin and her brother Austin fought like cats and dogs, Austin always instigated the fights but, Erin was always the one getting in trouble for it. "Austin literally slammed me into the wall, he is a maniac." Erin exclaimed as I sat down.
"Austin will you please apologize to your sister?" Erin's mom said as she set down a bowl of pasta. "I'm sorry." Austin sarcastically said as he rolled his eyes. "Thanks." Erin smiled, clearly looking annoyed.
"So Tulsa? How have you been?" Mrs. Roberts questioned as Erin's dad sat down next to her. "I'm good! How about you?" I answered as I started to eat the pretty looking pasta.
"I'm amazing! Thanks for asking Tulsa." Mrs. Rebecca Roberts smiled watching us all eat.
"Mom! Give Tulsa advice." Erin stated as everyone looked at me. "About what? Is everything okay Tulsa?" Mrs. Roberts asked sounding extremely concerned. "Everything is fine Mrs. Roberts, I don't know what Erin is talking about." I exclaimed, glaring at Erin while I talked. "Well mom, Tulsa likes this boy and she doesn't know what to do about it!" Erin explained as both her parents sighed.
"You should just tell him you like him Tulsa!" Erin's dad said while Mrs. Roberts shook her head in agreement. "But, it's complicated. I mean I like him and stuff but, he has autism and I don't how to tell him. I don't want to ruin our friend-" "Tulsa, just tell him." Erin's mom smiled making me stop my ranting and raving.
"If you have feelings for this boy tell him you like him, the bluntest way you can, who cares if he has autism? If you like him... just go for it!" Mr. Roberts suggested.
Erin's parents were extremely open-minded I had always wished my dad could be as tolerant as Mrs. And Mr. Roberts were.
