Strive 190: What's Going On?!

Kibishi's POV

Dining Hall...

"Wow," Kuma said while looking around this shiny dining hall. Whoa! This is something!

For starters,

The floor looks so clean that you could lick it. Although, I wouldn't recommend it since it may have things that don't belong in your mouth.

Anyway,

The table with many chairs looks fancy as well. I can see my reflection on each material. From the table to the chairs, everything about this place screams 'fancy!'

Looking at the walls,

Geez,

I never thought I would be so happy to see the walls looking so clean and fresh. Not to mention, the paintings are a nice touch. I read- or Tao read to me- that these paintings are famous on the surface. I wonder if these are replicas or the real deal. I'm leaning into the replica idea, though, since most stuff from the surface won't survive down here.

Finally,

The lights that are hanging on the roof. Whoa! The candles are lighting up the room, and look! There are those leave thingies from those Christmas books!

"A Mistletoe?" Tao whispers as her cheeks turn red.

"Hey, Tao, why don't you and Kibi go underneath it and do it?~" Kuma tease, I assume.

"It's not Christmas, though!" Tao shouted back.

"Well, there's a two weeks left before December, though. Just three months ago, we found you guys so," Jir shrugged.

"It's been that long already? Time sure goes fast! Oh, oh! Let's all get Christmas presents for each other soon!" Kuma commented while putting her hands together.

"Right here, too." Jir interrupted Kuma. Jir looks at Tao "This place feels familiar to me. This must be the gathering room. You'll dine and talk about deals and who will marry and be ruling. This castle represents not only the Greek's time but also another setting of royalty. Royal and loyal is the theme for this one, huh? Not only the underwater theme."

"You're right." I look at the doorway "I can sense something. But... *held head* it's faint. *close eyes* This sensation... it's.... *open eyes* ugh." I shake my head.

"No good. I lost it, too." Jir says while holding her head as well. "Regardless, this room has been used all the time until recently. What could that mean?" Jir wonders while placing her left hand under her chin.

"Regardless, one thing for certain, that guy and girl have been here many times before," Yosei says while at the other side of the room. She was hovering over a small desk and opening the drawer smoothly. "This drawer feels warm. And I can see prints with my enhanced eyes. Most likely, they took documents and high tail out of here." Yosei says in a calm voice.

"But I'm getting the feeling that they're not the only ones," Jir replied seriously.

"You're right," Kuma takes a piece of paper from underneath a chair. "Look! This is a document! And a map is designed behind it!"

"And look," Yosei uses a napkin and wipes the floor "This floor has been clean today. The person who cleans it uses cleaning products to shine the floor."

"The door has been done, too. I'd say an hour ago, though." Tao joins in. Tao takes out her phone and takes a picture. Tao started to tap quickly and then showed us her phone. "See? Fingerprints!" Tao smiles "With this, I could identify those guys from earlier! There's no hiding from us once we dig up the truth!"
