"Are you back?" Tengen asked when he heard her close the door of her room.
He walked up to her room when he didn't hear her answer, "Miyuki?"
Still no answer.
"I'm coming in," he opened the door to find her packing her things.
"What are you doing?" He asked her.
"Hmm?" She was focused on her packing, "what does it look like I'm doing?"
"Why are you packing your stuff?" He was so confused.
"Oh, I'm moving out in three days."
"Why??"
"Because my house is almost ready. They said it would take a week but I asked them to do it a little faster."
"Now why would you do that?"
"Why would I be here for longer?" She finally turned to look at him and the look on her face almost broke him, "I'm done with my training, I'm grateful for your stellar recommendation because of which I am now a Hashira." Tears welled in her eyes as she tried to make her point and he walked towards her with big steps, not wanting to listen to any more of her nonsense, "I've already bothered everyone here longer than I should have. My work here is done. My training here is done. So why on earth would you even want me-"
She wanted to cry when he enveloped her in his arms, "I'm sorry," he kissed the top of her head, "I didn't mean to say that this morning, that was stupid of me. So stupid."
"It's fine, I know you want to see other people as well. I saw you at the bar that day," she said, "and I don't want to be a part of that."
"Come on, don't be like that." He cooed, "you'll always be my favorite little kitty. My, how weak you were when you first came to me."
"Go away!," her muffled voice against his chest made him chuckle a little, "I will not. And neither will you."
She grumpily looked up to see his face and he forgot what he was about to say.
"Watch me," she pouted with tears in her eyes.
"Oh, I will. And then I'm going to drag you back here. Where you belong."
"I don't care what you have to say. I'm going to have my nice new house in three days and I'm going as far as I can from you."
"Mhmm," he pursed his lips to avoid laughing, "and where do you think your new house is?"
"I..." she didn't know. She realized that she actually didn't know, "I don't know."
"Well, my sweetest, your nice new house..." he smiled as he pecked her forehead, enjoying every single second of the grumpy look on her face, "is two roads away from here."

Tengen was out on a mission and she had moved into her new house. There was a lovely garden, and the whole place was earthy and green. Anyone could tell that it was the Earth Hashira's compound. She was humming a song early at dawn as she sat in her garden trying to revive some withered plants when her Kasugai crow came to visit her, "Miyuki, you have an important mission. Go to Master's house right away."
"Alright." She was done reviving the plants with her Earth breathing.
When she saw Ubuyashiki, she saw how he was deteriorating, "you look very sick, Ubuyashiki san," she seemed concerned. "I am, I feel very weak." He said as he sat down next to her with the help of his kids.
