"Are you just going to leave me here?" She scoffed when he said he was going to Sanemi's.

Tengen looked absolutely feral, "well, what do you want me to do then?"

"Since when do you get so involved with girls?" She patted on her bed, "do you pick a fight with the guys involved with them too?"

"Just you." He tilted his head to ogle her again.

"Why, I feel so special now," she teased him. His patience was bleak. He was just back from his mission and he hated what he'd just heard.

"You do?" A dark smile appeared on his face, "I thought I made you feel special all the time. You said that to me the last time you sat on my face."

"Well, when I think about it, I know you make all your girls feel special, so there's nothing special about it really." She said, "stop trying to play tricks with my head. Your games are getting old now."

"Oh, but I'm not even close to being done playing with you." He got under the sheets with her, "I fucking missed you so much." He peppered kisses on her face.

"And you wanted to leave all this to go fight with some guy."

"You know I am much stronger than he is, right?" He planted hickeys on her neck, "I know you are." She half squealed with the things he made her feel, her intoxication elevating everything further.

"I'm not used to just being with one person when I've had three wives, but I can't seem to pay attention to anyone else," he was now hovering over her, evidently a little unsettled with that fact, "how can you be with just one person? What if you lose them? How scary is that?"

"Is that why you're goofing around with other girls?"

"I tried to but I can't." He seemed very uncomfortable with what he was feeling, "I asked myself what I would do if you just left one day and I have no answer. Something doesn't feel right."

"Okay, let me make it easier for you then." She sat up to think while he sat in front of her blinking, clearly lost.

"Yes, please."

"So, it's established that you like me a little. Would you be okay with me seeing other people as well?"

"No, we're not having this conversation-"

"But you wanted me to help you."

"You're not fucking anybody else. You're not even going out with anyone else. I'm making that clear right now!"

"Why is that?"

"Because I said so." His answers made her wonder if he was a little empty up there, "I don't like it."

"So, you don't want me seeing other people but you want to." She looked at him to come up with an answer himself.

"I've never thought about this, but I understand what you're saying. Okay then..." he thought about it for a minute, "I won't see anybody else."

"Mister, that's called being in a relationship. I don't think you're ready for that yet."

"I was married before. What do you mean I'm not ready for a relationship? That's absurd!" He fought back.

"I don't think you can have a relationship with just one person. If you start seeing other people while in a relationship, it's called cheating," she tried to explain it to him like he was a five year old.

"I know what cheating means," he thought about it further, his mind even wandered towards Sanemi's feelings for her and how he almost snatched his girl from right under his nose.

Miyuki felt her hands starting to feel cold. She looked down to see red on her hands and quickly realised what it was.

"You're wounded!" She gasped, "You're bleeding!"

"Oh, shit. I forgot about that."

Her intoxication flew away at the speed of light when she saw him bleeding out of the wounds under his uniform. "Oh, my god. What is wrong with you?" He couldn't understand why she was so worried for him.

She quickly got the first aid kit and took his shirt off to examine his torso, "it's not that bad." Her hands were trembling with how scared she was, "you're lucky it's only superficial."

"I forgot about it," he genuinely had. He was so occupied with their conversation that he completely forgot about his wound.

Silence ensued as she thoroughly cleaned his wound.

"What if you want to go back to Shinazugawa one day?", Tengen was desperate for an answer, he didn't even bother hiding it anymore.

"Why would I want to do that?", Miyuki asked as she nursed the wound on his torso.

Her busy hands kept his mind occupied for a while.

"You didn't answer me," her eyes were still focused on dressing his wound, but slowly rose to meet his when he didn't answer.

His face was flushed and he swallowed hard. He didn't know what to tell her.

"Why, Uzui san..." his breath began slowing down as she closed in on him, her calm voice almost mocking his very existence, "are you in love with me?"

His breath was haggard and his mind was erratic. He was confused, conflicted and cornered. But he knew one thing for certain.

"I love you, Miyuki. I always have."
