Tengen couldn't not wrack his mind worrying about her. When one of his wives was expecting a kid with him, he was apprehensive at first but was later overjoyed as the idea sank in. He'd dreamt of becoming a father until she died. He didn't want that to happen with Miyuki, he was only retaliating because Muzan and the upper moons were still out there, and he knew that it would be too dangerous for her as well. He was terrified at the thought of losing her too, "what am I doing?" He groaned with his face in his hands, only for old lady Tsubari to smack his head with a roll of paper.
"Yes. What are you doing, Tengen sama?" She was so disappointed in him. "Leaving a woman with your child all alone like that. Are you empty up there?"
"You know why I'm doing this. I'm just so worried for her. What if-"
"She's much stronger than those three, I hope you remember that." Tsubari did feel bad for him. "But if you don't want her to keep it, you need to tell her before it's too late. Make up your mind soon. All that stress is not good for her either."
"I don't mean any disrespect to Hina, Maki and Suma, but Miyuki really is something I can't afford to let go of. She's perfect in every sense. And I hate how weak I sound when I say this, but she really is the love of my life." He was so scared that his voice trembled, "and I can't live with myself if something were to happen to her. I'm not strong enough for that."
"Go home, Tengen sama," Tsubari said, "this is just your house. Home is where you're loved and needed." She patted his head, "you're a lovely boy, I'm sure she'll understand whatever you decide."
"I feel terrible for leaving like that. I really shouldn't have. She's strong and everything, but I hate upsetting her."
"I'm sure she understands what bothers you, Tengen sama."
"Tsubari san, she's been so nice to me no matter how much I've messed up. I'm not ready to see the day where she'll tell me she's done with me," he had a sad smile on his face and lady Tsubari slapped his arm, "I'm sure she thinks the same. Stop overthinking and go."
It was raining outside and the sound of thunder was rather loud, "that's quite a storm outside. I must go check on her." He opened the door to step outside, only to see Zenitsu and Inosuke run to him like they were running for their dear lives.
"What's wrong?" He got a little concerned when saw the horror on Zenitsu's face.
"MIYUKI SAN!" He pointed in the direction of the gory rumbling.
"What are you saying!?" He was very confused. Old lady Tsubari had also run to the door due to the commotion.
"ITS HER THUNDER BREATHING! I'M SURE OF IT!" Zenitsu said.
"TANJIRO IS ALREADY ON HIS WAY THERE." Inosuke was also panicking a little.
"Why would she go there??" Old lady Tsubari was anxious.
"Is she not at home?"
"NO!" Zenitsu shook his head, "we checked her place before heading straight to yours!"
The worst of his dreams were turning into reality, "Take me there this instant." He picked up his weapon.

"Oh, I remember you!" Douma's eyes lit up when he saw her again, "your baby was indeed delicious. Fresh out of the oven."
(Sorry y'all, my humour is a little dark like that. 💀)
She didn't say a word for she was trying not to get triggered by him, she knew that was exactly what he wanted.
"You talk too much," she drew her sword. She'd trained her whole life for this very moment. Although his 'Upper - Two' etching made her cower for a minute, she couldn't afford to be scared.
"Hmmm?" His eyes glowed a little, "say, you're a Hashira now, aren't you? Your aura is very strong compared to how weak you seemed that day. That's very good!" He joyously clapped. "I'm happy for you. And for myself — I'll get to take another Hashira's head to Muzan sama and he'll give me more of his blood. Ohhh, I can't wait-"
He barely saw her attack him, "What?" If he hadn't clocked her, she would've chopped his head off.
"MY, YOU ARE STRONG! I acknowledge your strength!" He raised his hand like a school boy. "Let's dance!" He attacked her head on.
"Thunder Breathing - First Form." She was going to combine it with the sword skills she learnt from Muichiro.
Their fight generated so much power that it sounded like a storm cloud.
She was impressed and intimidated with how fast he could regenerate.
Tanjiro got there two hours after they began their fight and gasped when he saw the devastation they'd caused. He also saw Douma's "Upper - Two" marking, trying to analyze how she even found him.
She used a series of attacks while trying to read, adapt and avoid all of his. She used her Earth Breathing, Hinokami Kagura as well as Zenitsu's First Form.
She was panting by the time she temporarily disabled him.
"MIYUKI SAN!" Tanjiro rushed to her aid, "You're bleeding!"
She had a small smile on her face, she perfectly knew what it meant.
"I'm having a miscarriage." Her eyes wouldn't move away from Douma. "At least now he won't be disappointed."
When Douma sensed another Hashira and a few other advanced members of the Corps running towards them at full speed, he made a run for it.
"GET BACK HERE!" Tanjiro screamed at Douma as she dropped on her knees in pain.
It was almost sunrise too and Douma couldn't afford to get into conflict with another Hashira that close to sunrise. "I'm going after him. He's wounded enough to not be able to fully regenerate in time!" She quickly rose on her feet to chase after the Upper Moon but was held down by Tanjiro, "NO! YOU ARE NOT GOING AFTER HIM!" He had tears in his eyes as she tried to struggle out of his hold, "you're in a lot of pain. Please stop!"
"I am so close to beheading him, Tanjiro. Please let me go!"
"NO!"
She took a quick deep breath before swinging her legs to get him to lose balance and chase after Douma.
But just as she tried to run towards the forest cover from where the demon escaped, a hulking man suddenly barricaded her, towering over her, blocking her path.
It was Tengen and he wasn't very happy with what he was seeing.
