Strive 191: We Won But At What Cost?

Kibishi's POV

Step! Step! Step!

"Hehehehehe!" I heard the evil laughter from outside. I'm right now on the second floor, meeting up with the girls in the center room.

Once I reach there- huh?!

"Damn it..." Kuma says while bending down and holding the broken item.

"It's broken, huh? How come?" Jir asks.

"Someone is here. I could tell." Yosei says seriously.

Tao narrows her eyes in anger. Tao stands up and forms both of her fists. Tao looked at the doorway I was standing at and then suddenly ran out the door. I quickly move to the side and let Tao out.

I narrowed my eyes in sadness, but then I decided to focus on the mission once more. "Let's see the cause of all of this, everyone! Follow Tao!" I shouted. 

Step! Step! Step!

What could cause that item to break? Who did this? Why did they do it?

The more we explore this place, the more questions we have.

There's no end to this world, huh?

In any event, we must go outside and see what's going on!

Outside...

Splash! Splash! Splash!

I was outside, but I felt something wet splashing underneath my shoes. I looked downwards and saw blood pouring from the moon once more. The sky is red now, too. Yeah, the monster is back, right?

I'm looking around, but I'm not seeing it though. Why is that? Not to my left or my right. But I do see the girls looking for the monster as well.

"Im not sure where it is. It's close by, but I can't determine where though." Jir explains seriously.

"That damn monster got to be here somewhere! Maybe it's hiding!" Kuma shouted.

"But we didn't trigger anything, right? So it must be where that person triggers them in the first place." Tao explains in a calming way.

"The question is, where are they?" Yosei asks seriously.

"They shouldn't be that far. The item was just broken moments ago. So maybe they're close by, and we're not noticing." Jir says while looking around some more.

"Damn it, where are they?! The moon is bleeding and everything!" Kuma complains.

Rumble! Crash!

"Hiissss!!!" We heard the monster.

Crash!

Splash!

Suddenly,

A giant object crash-landed beside us and into the blood ocean. The blood splashes so hard that it seems like it's raining blood all over. Our bodies started to touch these raindrops, and all of us were speechless at what we were seeing.

There is only one thing that could cause a giant splash like that. Only one thing can be out here at night with a massive body like that.

That's the dead Cetus monster, a living and walking corpse.

The monster struggles to move and panics on the blood. I narrow my eyes in fear. "What the heck is happening?"

"It's almost like..." Jir continues.
