*Firehouse 51: Apparatus Floor*
I stepped onto the Apparatus floor and I saw Tim Rosewater, and TK Strand.
"Hey Captain." TK says, "Hey TK and Rosewater." I smiled, "Now your dad is one of the sergeants of Intelligence." Tim says
Some more people laughed.
"Yeah, and know he's going to be protected of her." Buck says, "Oof yeah, and it's not going to be good."
"Hey, have any of you guys been counting down the weeks until Halstead returns?" Michelle asked
"2 weeks and counting." Maya replied, excitedly. "Then he's going to be protective of Y/N." Andy replied.
We all smiled, and excited, feeling more safer until the other Friend group Co-Captain returns to the Windy City when suddenly the bell goes off.
Squad 3, Truck 81, Truck 126, Engine 126, Engine 51, Battalion 19. Structure fire. 3015 South California Avenue.
Everyone glanced at each other, recognizing that address immediately. We all grabbed our gear, and then we get into our trucks.
*Cook County Jail*
The CO's walked up to a man in suit with two guards standing on either side of him.
"You're in charge?" Lucas inquired.
"Facility director, Rick Esposito." The Man introduce himself.
"Okay, what are we looking at?" Wallace wondered.
"We got smoke in pod four, a dorm area we set up for overcrowding." Rick explained as they walked a few feet away.
"Thought you were evacuating?" Natasha pointed out, stopping to look at the director in confusion.
"Well, I pull most of my staff out. But I think it's best we don't move the inmates. We have vents that'll draw away the smoke." He reasoned.
"Are the sprinklers turned on?" Joel inquired.
"The inmates were turning 'em on to cause trouble. So I had 'em deactivated." Rick shrugged.
"Will you turn 'em back on now? Right now?" Carl demanded and the director turned to the guard to his left.
"Find Roy. Tell him to turn the sprinklers back on." He ordered.
"Casey, build a small team together. Go inside." Steve commanded just as I appeared at his side. "Voight, I want Squad standing by for RIT rescue."
I glanced at my older brothers, they both nodded in reply.
"RIT rescue?" Rick asked in confusion.
"Rapid Intervention Team." Joel says
The Friend Group Captain just watched, silently, as Matt disappeared into the prison with Christopher and Peter right behind him. Then a few minutes later a phone rings and it was Wallace's phone.
"Right. I understand. I'll let Herrmann know." He assured, hanging up and moving to activate his radio while meeting the Friend group Captain's in gaze. "Christopher Herrmann, can you read me?"
"What's up, Chief?" The member of truck 81 inquired.
"Code Labor: Cindy." Wallace reveled, "You're folks are brining her to Grey-Solan right now."
All of the occupants of the friend group covered their mouths in shock and joy.
"How about that? For once in her life, the woman's early." Herrmann quipped, dryly.
