*Unknown Rescue Location*
I and the members of the friend group watched Kelly as he lower himself down and the victim down with the ladder. I looked to my right as Lucas walked over, having just arrived on scene.
"All good?" he wondered. "Yep." I replied, popping the "p." "Graffiti artist got stuck up there is all Uncle Lucas." I felt like I spoke too soon as a familiar vehicle pulled up where Lucas just came from.
Hank hopped out and walked over with his partner, or one of them at least, right behind him.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw her older brother tighten his grip around the Halligan in his hand.
"Code Father figures. Sev." I called, spotting the man hopping down from the Squad truck.
Everyone caught on and surrounded the Truck lieutenant and I on all sides.
"You got no reason to be here." Lucas pointed out.
"Oh, I'm collecting gang intel, Chief." Hank retorted, pointing up at the Graffiti Artist work. "Big new tag like that, gotta make sure it doesn't spark a turf war."
"You've seen it." Lucas gestured towards the paint. "Now leave."
"You might want to take a step back there. I don't want to charge you or one of your men with interfering with a police investigation." The Detective warned in a dangerously calm voice.
"Yeah." Lucas muttered, glaring daggers at the police officer before turning and walking towards his fellow fireman. "Pack it up. We're out of here."
"Oh, hey, Casey. You got your deposition tomorrow." Hank suddenly recalled, stepping forwards and making everyone else paused in what they were doing.
"Come on, let's go." Kelly urged, patting Matt on the shoulder when he saw how he was staring at the older man.
"Let's go y/n." Ben urged, patting me on the shoulder when he saw how I was still.
