The group continues their search for Victor in the forest.
Mac winced in pain.
Cynthia: Mac, what's wrong?
Cynthia: I'll go get Jack.
Mac lays on the ground, experiencing intense pain.
Cynthia: Jack!
Jack turned around to see Cynthia.
Jack: Cynthia, where's Mac?
Cynthia: He's in pain, Jack. You need to come back.
Jack and Cynthia headed back to find Mac lying on the ground, in agony.
Jack: Mac, are you okay, buddy?
Mac: Ow, Jack, my stomach.
Jack: Let me see your stomach, Mac.
Mac lifted his shirt to reveal his belly, which had a worsening rash. He was suffering from a terrible bellyache, causing him great distress and pain.
Jack: The rash is getting worse.
Mac: It hurts.
Jack: I know, Mac, I know.
Jack: Mac, just breathe.
Mac: I can't, it hurts too much.
Jack: Mac, you have to try, buddy, slowly.
Jack helped Mac lean against a rock. Jack positioned himself behind Mac and rubbed his back.
Jack: Just breathe slowly, Mac.
Despite the immense pain he was in, Mac attempted to breathe slowly. After hours of searching and ensuring Cynthia's safety, Mac and Jack successfully captured Victor, while Mac kept the baby safe within him.
At the Phoenix Foundation,
Mac and Jack were being examined by doctors to ensure the baby's well-being. One of the doctors completed their check-up, and a nurse then took Mac for a series of tests to rule out any complications. Although Mac was anxious about the baby, Jack comforted him, assuring him that everything would be fine. When the doctor returned, he informed Jack that Mac would need to stay in the hospital due to a high fever, stomach pain, and chills, but there was no urinary tract infection. Jack then went to fetch Riley and Bozer while the doctors prepared to move Mac to a room.
Jack returned to Mac's room with Riley and Bozer, only to find Mac in tears, clearly in pain.
