Mac will be seven months pregnant tomorrow.
The following morning, Mac woke up feeling bloated, heavy, and uncomfortable, with a painful stomach and a sense of insecurity about his appearance. He attempted to get out of bed but found it difficult due to his growing belly.
Mac: Why do I feel so heavy? Why is everything so tight?
Jack woke up to hear Mac speaking negatively about himself.
Jack: Mac, what's the matter, buddy?
Mac pushed Jack's hand away and turned onto his side, turning his back to Jack.
Jack: Mac, what's wrong?
Mac: Just leave me alone, Jack.
Jack: Come on, Mac, talk to me.
Mac: Go away.
Mac arose from his bed but was unable to do so due to a severe burning sensation in his abdomen and accompanying back pain. Overwhelmed by discomfort, Mac began to weep as a result of the heartburn and back pain. Jack entered the bedroom to find Mac in distress.
Jack: "Mac, what seems to be the problem?"
Mac: "Heartburn."
Jack: "You are experiencing heartburn?"
Mac nodded in affirmation.
Jack: "Please get dressed for work, and I will prepare something for you to eat along with some ginger tea."
Mac shook his head in refusal.
Jack: "Come on, Mac, you need to get up. I assure you it will help you feel better."
Reluctantly, Mac rose and proceeded to get dressed for work.
Jack: "Goodness."
Jack then exited the bedroom and went to the kitchen to prepare a meal and ginger tea for Mac. He also retrieved some medication for him. Mac eventually walked into the kitchen to find Jack.
Jack: "Hey Mac, are you ready to go?"
Mac shook his head, expressing a desire to return to bed.
Jack: "You will be alright; once you eat and take the medication, you should start to feel better."
Mac nodded in agreement.
Jack: "Come on, let's go; we are going to be late."
They leave for the Phoenix Foundation
