As the elevator was going up, Jungkook sighed. After the events of the previous night he wanted to go anywhere but the office.

After a night of restless sleep he still couldn't make peace with himself for staring at Taehyung. How could he have not recognised him? How could he have fantasized about...

"No, no! No Jungkook! Enough with that!" it was the hundredth time he mentally scolded himself since yesterday.

After fed up, tired, annoyed, angry, drained and miserable, he had one new emotion to add to his list of feelings about work. Embarrassed.

Ding!

The elevator doors opened and he took a brave step out walking to his cubicle and looking around making sure there was no one that was present last night to talk to. He would try to avoid all of them in an effort to allow time to "heal his wounds".

"Hey," Jungkook waved at Yoongi who was sitting in the cubicle next to his.

"Hey," Yoongi muttered, not moving his eyes from his laptop. "Heard you had fun last night," he smirked, eyes still on the screen.

Jungkook's stomach clenched at the words. He felt mortified at the idea of Yoongi knowing. Knowing he liked men wasn't a problem. Yoongi was his friend, of course he already knew. But liking Taehyung? That was a piece of information that could destroy him, not professionally but mentally. And it was especially bad for his pride.

How could he like Taehyung?

Wait.

No, no, not Taehyung.

Just his ass.

Just.

His.

Ass.

Okay Jungkook play dumb.

"What do you mean?" he said plainly.

"I heard what happened," Yoongi now was looking at him as he leaned back on his chair, a bigger smirk on his lips.

Fuck. He was going to kill Namjoon and Jin. Both of them would pay. As he was raking his brain for a reply, Yoongi spoke again.

"The guy won't let you breath huh?"

A massive weight lifted as Jungkook realised that Yoongi wasn't talking about his stupid mistake but about Taehyung being as he always was towards Jungkook. Annoying!

"Yeah," he mumbled annoyed. "How come you didn't come with us last night?"

"I had to cover an event on the other side of the city so I couldn't make it," Yoongi replied, going back to looking at his screen.

"Anyway, isn't he here today?" Jungkook said as he looked at Taehyung's office that was empty. Taehyung not being in the office sounded too good to be true.

"Can you imagine?" Yoongi scoffed. "He left with a guy that came and picked him up. I think they went to the cafeteria."

"Who was he?" Jungkook asked, looking around.

Yoongi looked at him with a quizzical expression and Jungkook regretted his question instantly. What kind of question was that? He chose to pretend as it never happened and looked away, sitting on his chair and tapping his fingers on his desk looking at Taehyung's empty office.

Taehyung not working and leaving the office early in the morning was weird, just weird. The man lived and breathed work. Going for coffee breaks with strange men wasn't usual. And who could that guy be that felt like visiting Taehyung first thing in the morning?
