- Here comes the spice 😌😏🔥 -
"Your apartment is nice."
Taehyung was sitting in the living room in Jungkook's apartment as the younger was pouring them both a drink.
"Thank you. I moved here since I started working in the magazine. It's kind of close to work and it's a quite area so overall I like it," Jungkook gave a glass of whiskey to Taehyung and sat next to him.
"Do you enjoy working in the magazine?" Taehyung asked, taking a small sip from his drink.
"I really do. I always wanted to work in 'Layover' and when I was hired it felt like a dream come true. It has been tougher lately but I manage.." Jungkook hinted with a small smile and Taehyung looked down, smiling as well.
The elder knew Jungkook was talking about him and all the work he had made him do on purpose. Taehyung wanted to feel bad about it but honestly, he couldn't.
"It's about adapting. Sometimes you have to sacrifice stuff, like your free time, if you want to move forward," Taehyung commented, looking at the younger.
"What have you sacrificed?"
The younger's question was like an arrow that struck Taehyung exactly where it hurt. "A lot," his voice came out harsh and he took a big sip of whiskey, his face contorting from the strength of the alcohol.
"I'm sorry," Jungkook took Taehyung's hand in his and stroke the back of his palm.
"Don't be. It was my choice," Taehyung smiled bitterly.
"Still, even if it was your choice, I'm sure it wasn't easy. Trading your happiness for something else is always hard."
Taehyung looked at Jungkook, all his attention on the younger. "How do you know I traded my happiness?"
Jungkook smiled softly, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's. "Just a hunch. Professionals like you, always put themselves second even if the cost is their own happiness.."
Taehyung swallowed hard, ignoring the burning in his eyes. Jungkook made him feel understood. They had barely spoken and the younger seemed to understand more about him than his closest friends. He squeezed Jungkook's hand, making the younger smile softly. His gaze held so much affection and Taehyung wanted to lose himself in it.
He reluctantly pulled Jungkook's hand, making the younger chuckle and move closer to him.
"You want something?" Jungkook's eyes were smiling, shining brightly under the low light of the apartment and Taehyung could swear he had never seen eyes like his.
"I think I do.." Taehyung felt entranced, taking the younger's face in his hands.
"What do you want, Tae?" Jungkook's voice was almost a whisper.
There it was again - that feeling of everything inside Taehyung collapsing when Jungkook called his name like that.
"I.. don't know.." Taehyung muttered, pulling Jungkook closer.
"Can I help you decide again?" Jungkook's small smile made Taehyung's heart skip a beat.
"Please.." the elder whispered and connected his lips to Jungkook's.
All his doubts melted away in the same way Taehyung did. Kissing Jungkook was like the kiss of life. It felt fresh and exhilarating. It made his heart beat faster and a weird sense of calm settle in his chest, as if everything in the world was in the right place and in the right order. Nothing existed outside the two of them. How could this feeling exist and how could Taehyung be so privileged to experience it?
