Taehyung hid his face in his hands trying to stifle the impulse of running after Jungkook. The younger left his office as if someone was chasing him. He looked outside the window and noticed that the younger wasn't going to his cubicle. And not just that but Mingyu followed him.

Taehyung jumped up and saw them making their way to the toilet with Mingyu following Jungkook. What the hell did they think they were doing in company property?

He clenched his fists, pushing away the crazy scenarios that started playing in his head.

He shouldn't go after Jungkook, he had no right, he had no right, he had absolutely no right, Jimin was right.

Taehyung walked towards the door and he was already following the other two, no matter how many times he repeated in his head that he should stay in his office. He pushed the door open and he froze.

Why were they hugging? Were they so fucking desperate to be alone? They couldn't wait until tomorrow or an other day or maybe never?

"What are you doing?"

Jungkook looked at him shocked, his eyes opening wide. He looked like he was crying. Why was he crying? Jungkook let Mingyu go and turned the other way. Mingyu looked at Taehyung with a panicked expression.

"Ah, Director.. I'm sorry, Jungkook looked upset so I.." Mingyu started.

"Upset?" Taehyung asked, trying to understand what was happening.

"Yes, I just came in and he was cr-"

"Mingyu, it's okay," Jungkook said, his voice a bit broken.

"Mr Kim, can you leave us alone for a moment?" Taehyung ordered the younger man.

"Of course, I'm sorry," Mingyu bowed his head and gave Jungkook a worried glance before he walks out.

Taehyung looked at Jungkook but the younger avoided his eyes. "Jungkook.." he said, hoping for eye contact but the younger denied to engage. "Look at me.."

And Jungkook looked at him, his beautiful, innocent eyes were red and tears were ready to spill again. It was his fault, everything was Taehyung's fault, he knew it.

He walked to him and cupped the younger's face with a shaking hand.

"Jungkook, I-I'm sorry.." he muttered. He was out of his mind doing this in a place anybody could walk in.

"You're sorry?" Jungkook muttered, trying to understand.

"About the other night.. I- I.."

Jungkook laughed bitterly. "Why are you sorry? You are obviously not interested. I'm Mr Jeon to you. I'm just someone who works for you. So don't worry about it Mr Kim.. Now excuse me.." Jungkook wiped his eyes and walked past Taehyung.

The elder was left looking at the wall, a war raging inside him as to what he was supposed to do. He was always a mess. He always ruined everything. And he even managed to ruin this beautiful boy who was way braver than he would ever be.

He cursed under his breath and walked out going to his office. As expected, Jungkook wasn't in his cubicle. And neither was Mingyu..

The rest of the day went by at an excruciatingly slow pace. Taehyung couldn't focus no matter how hard he tried. All he could think of was the look on the younger's face, the tears in his eyes and his words.

"You are obviously not interested. I'm Mr Jeon to you. I'm just someone who works for you. So don't worry about it Mr Kim.."
