Daya found herself back at the club, the music all slurred together and the lights blurry. Almost everything was blurred together. Except for her.
Bosco moved towards her so elegantly, her body on display for her eyes only. The blue pantie straps hugged her hips, the garters squeezed her thighs perfectly, and their eyes locked and made Daya's breath hitch.
Bosco smiled, and it drove Daya insane. The smaller girl twirled a feather wand between her fingers, reaching out to trace Daya's jaw with it and hold it underneath her chin.
Daya leaned forward, and before she knew it she was being pulled onto stage by her hands. Bosco held them so tightly, pressing her chest against hers as she gazed up at her with a daring look in her eyes. Daya couldn't stop herself from laying her own hands on Bosco's hips. Her skin was soft under her fingertips, and so warm. She pulled her closer, and Bosco had to pull her down so she could reach up to brush her lips against Daya's.
The moment they touched, Daya jumped awake, almost falling off the bed with her legs tangled in her blankets. She huffed in frustration. Of course that was just a dream. But she could've sworn she still felt the girl's touch.
She hadn't stopped thinking about Bosco. It was impossible not to. And of course her friends had teased her about the little interaction the entire walk home the night before. She shook her head in an effort to clear it. She had to stop thinking like this.
The power was still out, but the apartment was at least a little bit brighter during the day. Even with the gray clouds still covering the sky. Daya pulled herself out of bed and found it was almost noon. With it still raining outside, she knew it wouldn't be a good idea to go out with her guitar. She'd just have to hope for the best with the bar tonight.
She stepped into the living room, finding Camden digging through the drawers in their kitchen with a blanket wrapped around herself. She glanced over her shoulder when hearing Daya come out. "Maddy is such a blessing. You won't believe what she found at work."
When she wasn't busy with college courses, Maddy worked at a thrift store not too far from them. Which was strange, because the girl used to be bouncer. But now she brought home anything she thought would interest one of them. "What now?"
"A battery operated space heater." Camden pulled out a pack of unopened batteries with a relieved sigh. "She snatched it up immediately and is bringing it over. I could hardly sleep last night because of the cold."
Both girls were still in hoodies they had slept in and Camden even had fluffy gloves on. This heater would be the best thing they could have before it started to get even colder and snow outside. Daya had been playing guitar for hours in an attempt to put herself asleep. It was worth it though for the dream she had.
She didn't mention that part though as she took a seat at the table. "Might have to take Jasmine's advice on how to get more tips." She said. "There's no way we can keep going like this."
"Which one? The cleavage one or the-"
"Well definitely not the second one-" Daya said quickly before Camden could even say the second one. "But that first one, yeah. Anything to either get our power on or get out of this place."
"Good luck with that. This is the cheapest place in the city and we still can hardly afford it." Camden sighed and placed the batteries down on the table along with a candle. "And moving is so expensive too."
Daya folded her arms on the table and laid her head in them. "Don't even remind me." She mumbled. She had spent all her savings just to get there. Only for her dreams to be ripped to shreds.
There was a knock on the door and Camden hurried to answer it, finding Maddy holding their only hope at heat in her arms with Jasmine rushing down the hall to them. "You find batteries?"
