----The more Bosco stayed, the harder it became to go back to her own apartment. It was so cold and lonely there. There was no one to hold her as she slept and no one to assure her that she wasn't dirty. There were no gentle touches there that made her feel nice. And no shy pecks and forehead kisses when she cried. And in her apartment she had to stiffen and listen closely everytime she heard footsteps. She much preferred the safety of Daya.
And that's where she was tonight. She had somewhat of a break at the club that night. Macy hadn't been there, and since she was the ringleader of the other girls, Bosco had been somewhat left alone. Kinda. Men still loved touching her when she bent a little too far down on the poles. And it was starting to become more difficult to hold herself up on them. Her muscles were shrinking and her energy was draining. She didn't understand.
Her arms ached that night. She hadn't been onstage, just the poles. She much preferred the stage. Daya had come inside the club instead again and had watched her with a blushing face, but also with worry. She could see the way Bosco's arms shook with certain movements. And she also saw the way her legs were being touched, and she didn't like it.
She also saw the man who slapped her exposed bottom half. She didn't like that at all.
Bosco was trying not to think about it as she laid in Daya's bed. The heater was back in their apartment at least, but even without it, it was still warmer here compared to her own apartment. Daya rubbed her fingers over the muscles of Bosco's arms, a look of concern on her face. The smaller girl was tiny. Too tiny. "I'm not sure about you being on the poles..." She said quietly. "Not like I don't think you're good at it- Because you are- You're just...you were struggling a little."
Bosco didn't respond immediately. Instead, she sighed and curled up further against Daya's chest as if trying to disappear. She wanted so desperately to feel Daya's skin against hers, but she wouldn't say it out loud. Not when she didn't know what they were. Whatever it was, she liked it.
"I can't say no to doing them." She finally answered. "Even though it's hard. At least I make decent tips."
Daya was still worried, she rubbed the girl's arms for a few more minutes before her own eyes started to close. She had been out all day with her guitar and had made a decent amount of tips as well. But the cold and social interaction took a lot out of her.
When her movements became slower, Bosco looked up at her. She tilted her head before sitting up a little, cupping Daya's head in her hands and guiding her to lay down on the pillows. Daya allowed her to, smiling a little when the smaller girl pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
Bosco cuddled close to her, watching as she fell asleep. Her heart was aching. Daya was everything she ever wanted in a partner. Trusting and gentle and caring and open with her. And so safe to be around. Daya didn't see her as a toy. Daya saw her as a person worth respect.
With another kiss to her forehead, Bosco pulled herself out of bed. She was getting more used to walking around the apartment without clinging to Daya's side. She was sure her and Camden wouldn't mind if she got something to drink real quick.
She walked down the short hallway of the dark apartment. Battery operated lights had been hung in the kitchen now, and they helped a little. As Bosco grabbed a water bottle, a noise coming from the living room got her attention.
She turned around. Maddy was sitting up on the couch, her eyes so heavy with exhaustion that Bosco could see it in just the dim lighting. But Jasmine's head was in her lap, and the girl was twitching and whimpering in her sleep.
She stared for a moment, and Maddy must've noticed. "She'll be okay..." She said quietly, her fingers gently running through Jasmine's messy blonde hair. "This is normal..."
