Bosco was still in bed while Daya was getting dressed, her arms around Jeffrey and her eyes focused on the taller girl across the room. "How long will you be gone?" She asked quietly.

Daya pulled her scarf on, looking her face over in the mirror. "I'll be back around noon." She said. "Camden will be here and Jasmine's just down the hall if you need anything."

Bosco nodded a little, but still didn't want her to go. Not after last night. She sat up, watching as Daya picked up her guitar case in the corner of the room. "Be careful..."

"I will be." Daya said as she laid it down to open it up, making sure she had everything she needed. "I always am."

Bosco continued to watch her, fidgeting with the blanket in her hands. "...Will you come watch me perform tonight?" She asked softly. "I'm on the stage again. I'm using that matching blue set and feathers for this number."

Daya's eyes widened slightly when remembering the way that specific outfit looked on her. She glanced up to meet her eyes, giving her a small smile as she closed her guitar case again. "I'll see what I can do."

Bosco smiled now, heart racing in her chest. It was always more fun to perform when Daya was in the audience watching her. She held her arms out, attempting to sneak in a little more time with her.

Daya could feel her heart melt. She walked over to lean down, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "I'll be back soon." She assured her. "I promise."

Bosco whined in response, her smile disappearing. "Not yet." She whispered. "Please?"

That one hurt. Daya found herself dropping the guitar case and lowering herself down in bed beside her. "Leaving didn't used to be this hard."

Bosco just smiled, trapping her in place by hooking a leg over her hip and wrapping her arms around her torso. "You're just warm." She said, voice muffled by the collar of Daya's sweater as her hands tangled into the fabric. "And soft. And safe."

Daya wished she didn't have to let go. She draped an arm over Bosco's waist, one hand stroking through her messy hair before it settled on the back of her head so she could press a kiss to her lips. "I won't be gone long." She said, knowing she really did have to leave. "I promise, Sco."

Bosco squeezed her tighter. She wasn't ready to let go. Not after last night. She buried her head in Daya's neck. "Can I go with you?"

"You need your rest, baby." Daya pressed another kiss to her temple. "And it's not exactly...you know. The most safe out there."

"The club isn't either." Bosco argued, determined to stay with her. "And I still have to go there."

Daya sighed, sitting up much to Bosco's disappointment. "I'd feel better if you were here. Where you're safe and warm."

Bosco pouted, but knew she was losing this battle. She laid her head back on the pillows, holding onto her stuffed animal instead. "Okay..."

Daya wished she could stay beside her forever. But, she was broke. And any tips she could make helped. She reached down to stroke the smaller girl's hair, watching as her eyes closed again. "I love you. I promise I'll be back soon."

Bosco relaxed a little when she heard those words, opening her eyes back up just a little to gaze at her girlfriend. "I love you too." She whispered.

Daya smiled, tucking the blanket around her before she picked her guitar case back up. She hated braving the cold of the city streets, but having Bosco there now made it even more difficult to go.

It was still early out, the morning chill sending shivers across Daya's body as she walked down the street. She had met quite a few other musicians doing this. A lot with the same story as her.
