Capitano was up before Azula and made breakfast. Azula woke up and took a quick shower before entering the kitchen.
"You didn't have to make breakfast." Azula said, Capitano didn't reply and finished the bacon and eggs. "No mask?"
"No point," he spoke.
"Right. Forgot." She sighed. "Is there a reason you keep your hair long?"
"No," he shook his head and set out two plates.
"Question for question?" She offered. He took a second to think before nodding. "How did you become a harbinger?"
"I grew up in Mondstadt, as a knight of Favonius. Soon enough I surpassed regular human strength and I just got stronger and stronger." He explained. "What was Khaenri'ah like?"
"It was a constant war zone after the cataclysm. The time period of the archon war. I don't even remember what it felt like to have my full power." She added. "Who recruited you?"
"Columbia." he answered. "Have you always been able to possess a human form?"
"No, i used to be just a dragon but with my growing power, it manifested." She shook her head. "Why did you become a harbinger?"
"I go to hurt, coma level hurt. Everyone thought I was going to die, then Columbia came with the doctor. I recovered and that's when I joined. Not only was I strong, I was nearly invincible." He said. "Why were you put in the box?"
"No idea but I'm guessing it was to preserve at least one of the original sovereigns." She shrugged. "Why the tough guy act?"
"People prefer if their celebrities to be mysterious." He added. "Whether it be the mask, or the coat. If none of them know the real me, nothing can be connected to me."
"The guy that stops a fight for ducklings?" Azula recalled a conversation her and Columbia had. "Think your best friend."
"Can't say anything to her now days." He chuckled. "Are you really as innocent as you seem?"
"I believe so, I mean I had a few years of being human. Spent them learning how to be human. Learning the controls." She nodded. "Still don't quite understand, I'll get there. Who makes the coats?"
"I don't know. That's a good question. I know Pantalone gets them and has them made but no idea who supplies them." Capitano looked interested. "Are you enjoying your time back?"
"Yes I am actually. It's nice to have people around again. It's nice to have people to care about again. It used to be taxing but I know the people I care about can handle themselves." She smiled."So do all the harbingers have the hots for another harbinger?"
"What do you mean?" He replied.
"Well, Columbia and The Knave. Pantalone and Dottore. I mean it's only two pairs but it makes one wonder." She said.
"Columbia told you? Of course she did. Those four. I'm waiting to see how long they take to confess or release it." He smirked.
"That might take awhile. Unless we can convince Columbia, she will never do it." Azula shook her head. They both finished their breakfast and moved to the couch. Neither was in a rush to get back to Snezhnaya.
They continued talking and went on into the night. After the more serious questions it moved on up the simple ones like favorite animals. By the time they stopped talking the my both realized it was six in the afternoon. Neither of them saw the point in taking off the go back to Snezhnaya so they decided to stay for another night.
"Good night Captain."
"Please call me Capitano."
"Good night Capitano." She corrected herself.
"Good night Azula." Capitano said before closing the door to his room. Azula stayed awake for a few hours before going to bed.
