Caitlyn laid in the hospital bed, looking out the window at the woods of Piltover. She felt as if her father purposely placed her in a room without a window facing the city. She could see the ocean from where she was laying as well. Her entire leg was numb and swollen, it made her want to throw up.

"Jayce is down the hall," Mr. Kiramman said, walking in with a cup of water.

Caitlyn sat up, "He is? Jayce is alive?" She asked.

"Yes. Awake too. He only had a gash on his head and a broken ankle. I brought you a few medications for your leg."

"How many more could I possibly need? I already can't feel it."

"I'm at least trying to keep you that way until you're able to leave here on crutches. Right now, your leg is weighing you down. Also, your trencher stopped by today."

"Vi, you mean?"

"Yes. She brought your uniform back."

"Did she say anything else?"

"No, just that she was sorry. She knows that it's not her fault, right?"

"I'm not sure... I know she feels horrible at least."

"Next time you see her just tell her everything is okay. None of this is her fault."

Caitlyn just smiled as her father placed the cup of water along with the pills on the table next to her, "I have to go check on others," he said before leaving the room.

The enforcer just continued staring out the window at the scenery, hearing the sounds of heels clacking down the hall. Or was she an ex enforcer now? Jayce did tell her before that her parents spoke with Marcus about her job. A small scratch led to her being put behind a desk, what a waste.

"Penny for your thoughts?" A voice asked. Sadly, it wasn't Vi but it was still a face Caitlyn would be happy to see. Councilor Medarda, a survivor of the attack. Her seat was right where the rocket hit, so how did she even survive?

"Councilor Medarda...." Caitlyn spoke in shock. Mel had her hair down with a few gold pieces here and there. Her dress was shorter than what she usually wore and it was black and gold, "You survived."

"I did, yes. As did Jayce. A couple of others survived as well. I see you're doing alright."

"My leg is broken, but I'm fine."

"Mentally?"

"I'm not so sure..."

"My condolences for your mother." The councilor walked over to the chair next to the hospital bed, "You do realize what we were doing, right?"

"Refresh my memory. Was it the typical who-stole-this?"

"No, no, not at all. We had just made a peace with Zaun... your mother, she agreed upon it. We all did. We would've finally had peace.."

Caitlyn felt herself tear up a little which she never really did. She never cried much, "I suppose that's ruined now," she said as a tear fell.

Mel sighed, "Perhaps not. Noxus and Ionia has agreed to give us funds for repairs. Once we repair, things could return at least 75% of the way they were. Your mother will have Justice without required violence."

Did her mother even deserve Justice? All of the council took part in the hatred and violence towards Zaun in some way. All of those years ago with the attack on the bridge, that was Piltover's doing. The one time Zaun attacked, there would be an all out war. Caitlyn's mother was a villain in some way whether she wanted to believe it or not. Only Caitlyn was just now realizing it. Then her mind cut to Jinx. Her face, her evil smile. Caitlyn risked never being liked or trusted by Vi again if she went after Jinx. Vi out of all people knew the cold, hard floors of Stillwater and she wouldn't want her sister there. She would lose it even more if her sister was killed and Caitlyn knew that. There wasn't much of anything she could do unless Vi was okay with it, "I should just focus on grieving right now, alright?" The enforcer said with a smile.
