"Vi, wake up!" Powder shouted as Vi woke up, sweating.
"What the hell?" She asked her little sister, "What the hell was that?"
"You were having a bad dream. I could hear you talking in your sleep."
Vi made occasional glances in Caitlyn's direction as the Topsider slept. She was so beautiful in her sleep even if that sounded a bit weird for Vi to think of someone. Caitlyn moved a lot in her sleep though. Flipping from her right side to her left a lot, making sleepily groans here and there. Vi assumed it was the kind of dream she would have where she'd wake up screaming, but hopefully that wasn't the case.
Suddenly, Caitlyn woke up but didn't really move. One of her arms rested on her stomach, the other resting by her side. She wasn't blinking for some reason, but her eyes were moving frantically. Vi could see her chest rise and fall as she began to hyperventilate, "Caitlyn, what's wrong?" Vi asked her, "Hey, talk to me."
Caitlyn's mouth opened a little, but nothing came out. Was she still asleep? "Caitlyn! Snap out of it!" Vi shouted, trying to get Caitlyn to turn her head and face her. She watched as Caitlyn's fingers moved slightly along with her toes, "Caitlyn, you're okay, just wake up. Come on, it's okay."
Once the blue haired woman woke up, she screamed. Vi held her tight and rubbed her back gently, shushing her to calm her down, "You're okay, cupcake," she assured, "It's okay. You're back now." Must've been some sort of dream. Vi had never seen someone have a dream that left them paralyzed like that.
"I saw it again, Vi," Caitlyn said, still trying to catch her breath.
"Saw what?" Vi asked.
"That thing."
"Caitlyn, what are you talking about?"
"When I'm asleep. It's happened before. This creature, it walks in and paralyzes me or something."
Vi had never heard of something like this before. How many times had this happened to Caitlyn though? Whatever it is, it scares the shit out of her. It's clearly a hallucination or some type of dream. The only problem was that Caitlyn's dad was the doctor and he was in the hospital.

"A creature?" Ekko asked. Vi looked over to see Caitlyn talking to Rico, one of the other firelights. Rico offered to let her hold her baby and Vi saw the smile on Caitlyn's face as she took the baby. She had no idea Caitlyn liked kids, "Vi?"
"Sorry," Vi said, looking back at Ekko, "Yeah, she said it was some kinda creature. I saw it, Ekko. She was paralyzed and looked like she was suffocating."
"I believe you. She said it had happened before, right? Did she tell you when?"
"I didn't wanna ask. I couldn't get her to fall back to sleep to save my life though."
"If you were paralyzed and seeing a creature, would you wanna fall back to sleep?"
"I have shitty dreams enough as it is. I hardly wanna fall asleep now, I sure as hell wouldn't wanna fall asleep then."
"I've never heard of something like that before. Maybe Heimerdinger has." Ekko called Heimerdinger over who was playing with some of the other children.
"What is it, my boy?" Heimerdinger asked.
"Vi just told me Caitlyn has been experiencing some kinda paralysis and hallucinations. Would you know anything about that?"
"Ah, sleep paralysis. I don't believe I've ever heard of Ms. Kiramman experiencing something as terrifying, but I do know what you speak of. It happens when you're in a deep sleep and you awaken too quickly. It must've been triggered by the recent events and her built up stress."
