Powder sat on the bed, pouting and hugging her bunny. Vi walked in, "Come on, Pow," she said, "I didn't mean to scare you like that. It's not a real monster!"

"But you chased them away," Powder said.

"I chased them away so you wouldn't be scared. You woke mom and dad up the last time. Come on, you can't just pout all day."

"Are you just gonna sit there and pout like you have for the last two days?" Sevika asked. The entire house smelled of her disgusting cigars now.

"Are you gonna stand there and harass me like you have for the last eight years?" Jinx asked.

"You can handle it."

"Whatever. And yes, I am."

"Too bad I found a way to get the showers in here working."

Jinx jumped up, "You got the showers to work?"

"I found the water heater. And thank god there's two bathrooms in this house." Sevika walked off.

Jinx moved her hands up her sleeve, scratching the bed bug bites on her arm. Maybe a shower would help the itching calm down a little even if she would only get bitten more. Like Lux had said, she was filthy. Piltover never made Jinx feel this insecure like Demacia did. Of course, she felt insecure being in Piltover, but Demacia was a bigger and better version of it. Piltover was the slums compared to Demacia. Zaun had to be shit on their shoe to them if Piltover was so little.

Jinx snapped out of her thoughts when she heard the shower water turn on down the hall. It made her remember to take her own shower and to stop thinking about the sizes and cleanliness of cities and start thinking about the cleanliness of herself.

It was raining so hard, Jinx should've just brought her shower essentials. Lightening struck right in front of her, causing her to fall back. As she caught her bearings, a hand reached down to help her. A little bit of gauze was wrapped around the hand's palm and there was dirt along the fingertips. Jinx looked up to see a familiar boy with white dreads, "This storm is too rough," he said, pulling her up.

She hadn't seen Ekko in so long, she eventually forgot about him. He was Powder's best friend, not Jinx's best friend. It was almost as if she had to forget about everyone Powder knew. Even if it meant forgetting her best friend.

"With all that metal on you, you're gonna get electrocuted," Ekko said, wiping a little bit of water off of Jinx's shoulders. Not that it did anything because it was still pouring, "You need shelter."

"I don't need your help," Jinx hissed as she slapped his hand away, "I could've gotten home just fine."

"And have a chance of getting electrocuted by lightening? You're not worried about your own safety?"

"And you are?" Jinx pushed by him and continued her route back home. There was a loud clap of Thunder, followed by another strike of lightening. This time, it knocked down one of the old shop signs, nearly falling on Jinx's head. Ekko pushed her down, causing her to fall back into a brick wall, "What the hell?!" She snapped, "I could've done it myself!"

Ekko pulled Jinx up, shoving her inside the abandoned building and slamming the door, "You know, I remembered a time you thanked me."

"Thank you. Now let me leave."

"You're not going back out in that storm. You have no way to cover yourself."

"I was fine! Stop acting like you're my savior."
