"Do you know where Vi went?" Jinx asked, sitting in Silco's lap, brushing her new doll's hair.
"I'm afraid I'm not sure," Silco said, looking over the papers in his hands, "When I'm told, I will let you know."
The little girl jumped off his lap and skipped out of the office, holding the doll by it's arm. She spun through the long halls and held her doll up in the small amount of light shining through the window, "Vi is out there somewhere," she said to the lifeless doll, "I know she is."
Jinx heard Sevika laughing from behind her, "Pathetic," she said, lighting a cigar.
"Pathetic," Sevika said, lighting a cigar, "You really thought that girl would've stuck around?"
"She would've if your ugly ass didn't storm in here as if you own the place or something," Jinx snapped, crossing her arms and looking out the window, "Silco always knew how to talk to me about stuff like that... when people would get pissy with what I do."
"You're an adult. Silco was important to the both of us, you don't see me crying."
"I can't put faith in anyone anymore... not even myself."
"You've never put faith in yourself."
"You're so sassy, crabby pants. You're useful 25% of the time while you complain the rest of the time."
"I don't complain-"
"That means shut up for once! This is why I need my own abandoned house. You keep this one, I got ate up by bed bugs last night."
Jinx jumped off the table and stormed out of the old house. All she had was her pistol, having no clue where her mini gun or fishbones were. All she had was herself and her pistol. She walked into town, hoping she would find something interesting or someone. She had nothing to do now, no buildings to blow up. She was already wanted where she was from, she couldn't add onto it.
She wandered into a small store with a little bit of everything. Groceries, clothes, cleaning supplies. As she looked for a small snack, she felt the presence of someone behind her.
"If you think you're gonna steal a single item from my family's store, you're making a big mistake." Jinx turned around to see the blonde who stormed off the day before all because she found out she was a Zaunite.
"I'm not stealing," Jinx hissed, snatching an apple from a little box, "I have money. You think we do nothing but steal and best people up?"
"Isn't that what you do?" Lux asked.
"Yeah, but I'm not stealing from here. I don't steal from places I've never been to."
"Why do I not trust that statement?"
"Because you're trying to convince yourself it's a lie because that's how you were taught. It's not a lie. I'm not as bad as you think, blondie."
Jinx winked at Lux as she walked down another aisle."You better not steal from here, I mean it!" Lux hissed, following her.
"I'm not and I'll tell you time and time again even if I steal back home, I'm not stealing from this store. You also gave me money."
"Yeah, well I want my money back."
"It doesn't work that way, Blondie. Now if you don't mind, I would like to peacefully shop."
"You're filthy. Be glad the snow is cleaning you off enough."
"Provide me a shower then whine about my odor, you brat."
"Did you just call me a brat?"
"Sure did and I'll do it again: brat, brat, brat, brat, brat, brat-"
Lux covered Jinx's mouth as a woman who looked similar to her walked in, "Auntie, hello!" She said with an awkward smile.
"Luxanna," the other blonde said as she walked off behind the counter.
Jinx bite Lux's hand and continued to look through the snacks in front of her, "Don't bite me!" Lux hissed.
"Don't try to destroy my respiratory system with your hand on my only two ways of breathing."
"I swear to god, I'll have your ass if you steal from here."
Before Lux walked off, Jinx had a grip on her wrist, "You wouldn't have thought that if I never told you where I'm actually from."
"Let go of me."
"I'm serious! You're like the enforcers, only more whiny. Stop complaining or I will steal from this place and it's actually affordable! And don't complain to me about my hygiene, you spoiled brat!"
"I'm not spoiled! You need to shower!"
"I don't exactly have access to one, do I? Tell me a place I could clean myself and I'll gladly go. Otherwise, stay out of my business, Lux. My life and my origin has nothing to do with you." Jinx took the snack items to the counter where a brunette woman serviced her. The blue haired girl paid and left.
"You girls smell horrible," Vander said as Vi and Powder stood in front of the bar. They both looked at him with scared eyes, still not used to him, "You need showers."
"Vi, you go first," Powder said, clutching her bunny.
"No, Powder. I'll wait," Vi said.
"But-"
"Powder, just go shower. I'll hold your bunny."
Vi took Powder's stuffed bunny as the little girl walked upstairs and searched for a bathroom. They hadn't even been there long enough with Vander to know where the bathrooms were."Glad you came back, how did it go looking for a new house?" Sevika asked, taking a puff off her cigar.
"Shut up, we need running water here," Jinx said, slamming the door shut, "We haven't had showers in who knows how long."
"You're the one who got us stuck in this mess!"
"Silco was the one who got us stuck in it, not me! You always blame everything on me!"
"You're the cause of most of it, gotta blame somebody."
Jinx snatched Sevika's cigar, throwing it on the ground and stepping on it, "I'm sick of you treating like shit on your shoe," she hissed, "Silco started this and he was supposed to get us out of it, not me."
Sevika chuckled, "And you say you're nothing like Vi. No wonder you two hate each other so much."
"You don't know what you're talking about! Vi doesn't hate me!"
"You hate her."
"I don't!"
"Sure you don't."
Jinx just stomped off upstairs and kicked her boots off. She crawled into the rotting bed she had and pouted, "Stupid Sevika," she mumbled.
