James,

I sincerely apologize for the late letter that this will certainly be- I have been a terribly ill of late and unable to make it to the post office. Hopefully you did not deer me afraid to reply, as your letter truly kept me fighting my malady every day. I must have re-read it a hundred times as I remained unwell in bed.

My fever dreams were riddled with you yet again; there is no escape, I fear.

Though, I cannot give you the reply for which you ask. Indeed, I must hear the truth. I believe I already know what you might next reply- but I must see it in your scrawling hand with my very eyes to believe it.

Please, I beg you, tell me everything.
