The next morning, when Marjorie wakes up, she finds Mia sitting down, reading the book.

"Which power are you reading about?" Marjorie asked, sitting down next to her.

"Me and Char found out each power matches people's personalities. I think we can pretty much figure out who got each power. Also, it says how to summon each one, so that's very useful," Mia said.

"Okay... so which power are you reading about right now?" Marjorie asked.

"I just started reading. Yesterday, I read about mine and Char's. Right now, I'm reading about telekinesis. Listen: 'TELEKINESIS". Telekinesis is the ability to control and move objects using just your mind, but in this case, you will need to use your hand to control it. If activated intentionally, your palm will glow black. Like pyrokinesis, telekinesis is also incredibly difficult to control, and people who receive this ability must train intensely to master it. Telekinesis will cause physical pain if overused, resulting in headaches or very painful cramps in the palm since that is where the power is activated. This power is often assigned to people who are strong, cold, smart, and violent.'"

Mia and Marjorie looked at each other for a moment before Marjorie said, "Autumn."

Mia nodded before continuing, "How to trigger the power:"

Mia continued reading aloud, "To trigger telekinesis, focus intently on an object you want to move. Visualize it in your mind and extend your hand towards it. Your palm should glow black if you are activating the power correctly. It's crucial to practice regularly to strengthen your control and minimize physical pain."

"Interesting. So, are we going to be testing out all these powers?" Marjorie asked.

"Yeah, I think you all should try them together, though. So wait until everyone is up," Mia said, sipping her coffee.

"Why are you even up, Mia? It's 6 a.m.," Marjorie remarked.

"Could ask you the same question," Mia replied.

"Mia, I just wanted to apologize for that day. I was being dramatic," Marjorie admitted.

"Bet that hurt to say," Mia joked.

"Ugh," Marjorie shrugged.

"Want to keep reading with me?" Mia asked.

"Sure."

Mia flipped the page and began to read: "'ILLUSION.'"

"Illusion is the power to create a false visual representation. These illusions will disappear upon touch, so caution is required. If the power is intentionally summoned, your fingers will glow an orangey-pink and emit a soft tune. Overuse of this power can lead to derealization, causing you to lose your sense of what is real and what is an illusion. This power is usually assigned to individuals who are bubbly, smart, and friendly."

Mia paused for a second.

"Carly," Marjorie suggested.

Mia nodded and continued, "'To trigger this ability, you will need to use your fingers, moving them in a specific musical way to create the illusion of your choice.'"

"What's next?" Marjorie asked.

"Wait, before we move on, get me a pen and paper," Mia instructed. Marjorie quickly complied. Mia began to jot down:

• Mia - Pyrokinesis (confirmed)
• Char - Healing (confirmed)
• Autumn - Telekinesis (suspected)
• Carly - Illusion (suspected)
• Marjorie -
• Reece -
• Winter -
• Ella -
• Lila -
