I DO NOT OWN ONE PIECE
~________________________________________~Uta and Luffy stand in front of the bar that they longed to see again. Memories begin to flood the two's minds, overwhelming them.
The couple were hesitant to walk in, trying to focus on what's in front of them and not in their minds.
"This is it, Luffy. It's time to go say hi to the one we deeply owe."
"Yep. No more waiting. Let's go."
Luffy and Uta put their hands on the door and swing them open.
"It hasn't changed a bit since we last saw it."
The walls had pictures hung up along it, pictures of Makino, Shanks and his crew, Uta, and Luffy. The floor was still a dark laminate wood that was soft to touch. All the chairs to the tables have been pushed in, making the whole place look clean. The only thing they care about was the place Uta and Luffy had sat in every single day, the front bar. It really hasn't changed except for the few flower pots that lay along the table.
Luffy rushed to the front bar, took a seat, and spun around in the chair, merging Uta giggle. She, too, took a seat next to Luffy, resting her head in her hands.
"I wasn't expecting visitors so late in the afternoon. Welcome!" A feminine voice greeted the two.
A green-haired woman wearing an apron and her hair up in a yellow bandana walked out from behind the counter. The couple gaped in awe as she revealed her face. She hadn't aged a bit!
"What can I get, ya?"
"Just some juice would be nice, please, and thank you!" Uta quickly answered in a panic.
"And for you?" Makino asks, turning to Luffy.
"A glass of milk would be fine, please." Luffy answered, also panicking a bit.
Makino giggles and walks back behind the counter, returning shortly with their requested drinks.
"Here you go!" She says, handing them their beverages.
"Thanks!" They say in unison, proceeded to down the drinks.
"Done!" They both announce, slamming the empty glasses on the table.
"I win!"
"No, I did!"
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yeah-huh!"
The two begin to argue over who finished their glass first. Makino frowns and turns away with the empty cups.
"You know, you guys remind me of some kids I took care of, years back." She solemnly says.
"Oh yeah? What were their names?" Uta asks, trying not to reveal themselves yet.
"A little girl named Uta, and a boy named Luffy. They always bickered and played together, and they were so cute. Uta was taller, two years older, and teased Luffy whenever she beat him in a game. Luffy, who was 7, always argued, saying that he won and that she cheated. It was hilarious to watch them."
Makino walks back to the couple and smiles. But it was clearly a fake one.
"I haven't seen Uta for 12 years, Luffy for 9. I heard that the beautiful diva passed after her concert. It was really devastating here since that was the only music we had."
Uta looks away and blushes. She loved compliments, but she hated showing that she did.
"Shishishi, you sure love compliments!" Luffy laughs, poking her in the side.
