Uta Tries Haki

The next morning, Luffy had woken up early to start his haki training with Uta. As he jumped up from his bed, he ran to the door and slammed it open.

"Luffy? What are you doing up so early?" Robin asks as she puts down her book.

"I'm helping Uta!" His toothy grin slapped across his face.

"Alright, have fun. " She giggled.

"Thanks!"

Luffy runs back to his room to grab something. He then walks up to Uta's door and knocks.

"Uta, are you awake?"

No response. He knocks again.

"Then I'm coming in."

Still no response. He opens the door and walks inside. He turns his body and faces a sleeping Uta.

*BONK*

"Ow! Who's there?"

"Rise and shine, Uta!" Luffy says after he walks Uta with the newspaper.

"Good morning to you, too. Why did you hit me?"

"It's time to train haki!"

"Five more minutes. "She says as she rolls over.

*BONK*

"Nope. We're starting now."

"Fine. Let me get ready, at least."

"5 minutes to get ready, no more."

Uta forces herself out of bed and goes to do her hair. Luffy had left the room to go get a snack.

"Ugh, why right now?"

Uta then finishes up making her hair and puts some workout clothing on. She hadn't done this for a few years. Luffy walks back in with two pieces of meat and 2 glasses of juice.

"Breakfast!"

Luffy's eyes focus on Uta, who is now in her workout outfit with her hair up in bunny loops.

"I was gone for not even 5 minutes. How did you get ready so fast?"

"I'm used to it. Now gimme."

She points to the meat and juice in Luffy's hands. Luffy walks over and hands her one of each, which she devours.

"Thanks!"

"Time to get to work. The whole goal is for you to be able to sense and dodge my attacks while blindfolded."

"WHAT KIND OF TRAINING IS THAT!?

"An easier version of what I went through. Go!"

Uta and Luffy then begin their training session, Uta failing miserably. Time flies by as Luffy enjoys the process.

~Several hours later~

"Luffy... I can't do it... anymore. I'm so tired." Pants the exhausted Uta.

"So take a break. Your powers are so insane. Take your time to learn. There's no need to rush it." Luffy says, sitting on Uta's bed.

For the last 7 hours, Uta has been training her observation haki. Luffy held a rolled up newspaper in his right hand. Uta, spread out on the floor, asks Luffy how he did it.

"Rayleigh helped me for a year and a half! He didn't show any mercy on me, though."

"RAYLEIGH!? LIKE 'DARK KING' RAYLEIGH!?"
