"Maliki!" "Kylie!" The two girls run towards each other with huge smiles. Ruby rolls her eyes as soon as Kylie unlinks their arms. "My god, you guys act as if you haven't seen each other in years." She sips on her water. "Aw, Rube. Don't be jealous. You know i still love you." Kylie smiles at her best friend of ten years. "Yeah, yeah. I know." "Where is she? Where is she?! There she is!" Joshua runs up behind Ruby and hugs her tight. "My girl!" "Ah! Joshua, put me down!" Ruby shouts as she laughs. "Hey!" The rest of the cast shows up and reunites after having not seen each other in months.
The day was filled with interviews, press and reunions for the cast. As the day comes to an end, everyone parts ways at the hotel. "I'm telling you, you should have seen her face, it was so cute! She-" Their conversation is interrupted by Malia's phone ringing. "Hi mom! Yeah, we just got back to the hotel. I'm probably just gonna crash with Kylie....yeah, I'll call you tomorrow...love you too, bye!" Kylie smiles at her. "Is that my song?" She asks. Malia smiles back. "Yeah, i made it my ringtone." She admits. "Why that song?" Kylie smirks. "I don't know, i just like it the best?" Malia shrugs as she opens the hotel door. Kylie plops down on her bed as Malia puts her song on her phone. "So, tell me what's your favorite song! I'ma put your record on tonight! Tonight!" Malia sings along as Kylie stares at her. "So, go ahead and sing along! I'ma put the record on, tonight!" They harmonize. After their impromptu singing session, Malia sighs as she unties her hair. "I was gonna shower, unless you want to first?" Kylie shakes her head. "You go ahead. I think I'm gonna order room service." Malia nods before she goes into their shared bathroom.
Once she finishes showering, she comes back in the room in her pj's, with a towel in hand, drying her hair. "Hey, i ordered you a tuna sandwich, i hope that's ok?" Kylie smiles. Malia nods. "That's fine." Kylie frowns. "Sorry, their menu didn't really have many pescatarian options." Malia places her hand on Kylie's shoulder. "It's ok, it's the thought that counts." She was touched that Kylie actually tried to find something for her to enjoy, even if it was a simple tuna sandwich. "Alright, I'm gonna shower, did you wanna watch a movie after i come out?" Malia nods her head. "Yeah, let me see what they have to watch." Kylie grabs her clothes and goes in shower. There's a knock on their door. "That's probably the food!" Malia shouts. "I'll be right out then!" Malia goes to open the door, expecting room service but is pleasantly surprised when it's her cast mates. "Aye! Let's get this party started!" Joshua comes in with chips and soda. "I've got pizza!" Peder shouts as he places them on the table. Kylie then emerges from the shower, brushing her hair. "Hey guys! What are you doing here?" "Having a party, of course!" The rest of their cast mates come in and soon the room is vibrating with a certain energy.
"Ooh! I got an idea!" Ruby drinks the rest of her soda and places it on the ground in front of her. "Who's up for spin the bottle?" The gang all cheer as they sit in a circle on the floor. Ruby spins it first, seeing as it was her idea, before the bottle lands on Joshua. "Don't you fall in love with me now!" He jokes before they both lean in for a quick kiss. Joshua goes next and the bottle lands on Peder. "Uhh, bro hug?" He offers instead. "Agreed." He and josh give a quick hug before sitting back down. It's Malia's turn now, she spins the bottle and anxiously waits for it to stop. It finally lands Ruby. Malia would deny it if anyone ever asked but she was a bit disappointed. Not because she didn't like Ruby, not like that at least. And Ruby is gorgeous, no one can deny that, she was just kind of hoping for someone else. "Oh no, am i about to break up Glassheart?" She teases. "Shut up, Ruby!" Kylie laughs. "Well, I'm ok with it if you are." Ruby looks at Malia. "I guess." She shrugs before sitting up. They both lean in as their lips lightly touch. The feeling was weird, not awkward but a bit weird, that it made Ruby couldn't help but laugh as she pulled away. "Ok Ruby, your turn." Morgan tells her as she eats another slice. Ruby spins the bottle and watches as it stops on Kylie. "Ew, I'm not kissing Kylie, that's gross!" Ruby grimaces. "Hey!" Kylie pretends to be offended. "Rules are rules, Ruby!" Peder smirks. "But she's like a sister, that's weird." "Well then make it fast." Morgan smirks. They both roll their eyes before sitting up. Their kiss was just about the same as Ruby's kiss with Malia. Short and sweet. A simple peck just to get it over with. After they pull away, Kylie looks at the clock and notices the time. "Oh fuck, it's getting late. We gotta get up early tomorrow." She goes to stand when Ruby pulls her back down. "Last one, you still gotta spin." Kylie sighs. "Fine, last one and then all of y'all get out of our room!" Kylie spins the bottle and watches as it lands on Malia, her heart racing as she looks up. "Last one, right?" Malia nods. They both sit up and lean in slowly, having more tension than anyone else for some unknown reason.
As their lips finally meet, their eyes close instantly. A sudden rush entered both their bodies, igniting every fiber and being in their body. As they pull away and slowly open their eyes, they both could swear they saw stars, or sparks? Or whatever it is that you see when you run your eyes too hard for too long? Yeah, something like that. "Ooh, Glassheart IRL?" Joshua smirks. "Oh stop it!" Ruby smacks his arm. "We should all head to bed, long day tomorrow." They all agree before they stand and start cleaning up before leaving Kylie and Malia's hotel room and going to bed. As the door closes, the air is thick. Remnants of tonight's event running on replay in both gurls minds. As well as some late night after party shenanigans. A certain memory in either of their minds playing in a constant loop. It was clear as day, that kiss meant something to them both. But what? And was it necessarily a good thing? Fate or fluke? And if so, would this ruin their friendship? Relationship? Work? Only time will tell now. Unbeknownst to either of them, those words echo in both their minds that night. Neither of them could sleep until Malia worked up the courage to turn towards Kylie and pull her close. She slowly breathed, as if to give off the impression that she was asleep and it was her subconscious doing all this. Kylie smiled to herself before snuggling closer to the younger girl as they both fell asleep like that.
