In the Rajput Mansion, the kitchen was filled with the rich aroma of spices, the clatter of utensils, and the warmth of the midday sun streaming through the windows. Vridhi, Aarushi, and Arya were busy with their tasks, but Vridhi's mind was elsewhere, her thoughts tangled in Ashvik's harsh words: "Dusri shaadi karle." The words echoed in her mind, pulling her into a fog of distraction. As she reached out to stir the bubbling oil, she didn't notice how dangerously close her hand was to the sizzling pan.
Suddenly, Aarushi noticed the impending danger. The sharp scent of hot oil filled the air, making her heart skip a beat. She quickly grabbed Vridhi's arm, pulling her back just in time.
Aarushi:- Devranisa dhyan kaha hai aapka abhi haath jala leti aap.
(Devrani-sa, where is your attention? You almost burned your hand.)
Vridhi, snapping out of her daze, blinked rapidly, her breath catching as she realized what almost happened.
Vridhi:- Kuch nahi bhabhisa, bus aise hi..
( Nothing, Bhabhi-sa, just like that..)
Arya, who had been kneading dough nearby, noticed the tension in Vridhi's voice.
Arya:- Aise kaise bhabhisa hame bhi bataiye kya soch rahi thi.
( How 'just like that,' Bhabhi-sa? Tell us, what were you thinking?)
Vridhi shook her head, trying to smile, but her lips barely moved.
Vridhi:- Kuch nahi mai bus aise hi.
( Nothing, just... nothing.)
Arya, sensing Vridhi's reluctance to share, let it go with a light-hearted tone.
Arya:- Acha mat bataiye rehne dijiye Aarushi bhabhisa aap hi bata dijiye khane mai kya banana hai aur ye bhi bataiye Hrihaan ko kya pasand hai khane mai.
( Alright, don't tell us. Leave it. Aarushi Bhabhi-sa, you tell me what to cook today, and also, what does Hrihaan like to eat?)
Aarushi glanced up from the vegetables she was chopping, the knife making a rhythmic thudding sound against the wooden board.
Aarushi:- Devarsa ki badi khatirdari ho rahi hai kya baat hai.
( It seems Devar-sa is getting a lot of special treatment. What's the matter?)
Arya smiled, her eyes twinkling mischievously as she stirred a pot of simmering curry, releasing a fragrant cloud of spices.
Arya:- Kuch nahi bhabhisa aise hi socha kuch banadu is liye puch rahi hu aap bata dijiye kya pasand hai use.
( Nothing, Bhabhi-sa. Just thought I'd make something for him, so I'm asking what he likes.)
Aarushi paused, her brow furrowing in thought as the sizzle of sautéing onions filled the kitchen.
Aarushi:- Khane mai toh normal khana hi banega par Devarsa ko kya pasand hai wo mujhe nahi pata unhone aajtak kabhi aajtak bataya nahi unhe sabse jyada kya pasand hai.
(We'll just make the usual food, but I don't know what Devar-sa likes the most. He never told me what he prefers.)
Arya turned to Vridhi, who was now slicing vegetables with a practiced hand.
Arya:- Vridhi bhabhisa aapko pata hai.
( Vridhi Bhabhi-sa, do you know?)
Vridhi:- Nahi mujhe bhi nahi pata.
( No, I don't know either.)
Arya bit her lip, thinking hard, the gentle clinking of pots and pans the only sound as she pondered her next move.
