As Mahir and Aarushi jumped from the helicopter, the roar of the wind surrounded them like a fierce symphony, heightening Aarushi's pulse. Clinging to Mahir with every ounce of strength, she buried her face into his shoulder, her heart racing with fear of the dizzying height below.
Mahir:- Aankhein Kholle sab thik hai.
(Open your eyes; everything is fine.)
Mahir called out, his voice steady against the chaotic rush of air.
Aarushi:- Aap pagal ho gaye hai kya?
(Have you gone crazy?)
Aarushi exclaimed, her eyes squeezed shut.
Aarushi:-Ek toh chopper se kund gaye ab mai apni maut apni aankhon se dekhu mai nahi kholungi aankhein.
(First, we fell from the chopper, and now you want me to see my death with my own eyes? I won't open my eyes.)
Panic edged her voice, gripping her more tightly than the fear of falling.
Mahir chuckled softly, his breath warm against her ear, teasing her playfully.
Mahir(playfully):- Acha tu aankhein mat khol mai thaare ko chod deta hu.
(Okay, don't open your eyes; I'll let you go.)
His words, though light-hearted, made her grip him even more.Aarushi, still too frightened to open her eyes, retorted quickly,
Aarushi:- Mahir ji aaj aapka dimag aaj sacchi kharab ho gaya hai aaj aap meri jaan ke peeche kyu pade hai.
(Mahir, have you really lost your mind today? Why are you after my life?)
Her voice was a mixture of fear and disbelief at his audacity.Mahir, unable to resist his playful mood, leaned closer, the cool air rushing between them.
Mahir(playfully):- Ek baar aankhein toh khol.
(Just open your eyes once.)
Reluctantly, trusting Mahir, Aarushi slowly opened her eyes. The moment her eyelids fluttered open, her breath caught in her throat. The fear dissipated, replaced by sheer wonder. Mahir's arms were wrapped securely around her waist, and she realized they were still tethered to the helicopter by a rope, gently swaying with the movement of the night breeze. Above them, the rope swirled slowly in the moonlit sky, casting soft shadows below. And then she saw rose petals. Hundreds of them, drifting down like delicate crimson raindrops, twirling in the wind, illuminated by the silver glow of the moon.
The scene around them was breathtaking. The night was calm, peaceful, with only the sound of the wind and the soft rustling of the petals. The sky stretched out like an endless black canvas, dotted with stars that twinkled like diamonds. The petals fell from the helicopter above, creating a shower of red that framed them in a beautiful, romantic moment. Each petal danced in the air, brushing lightly against her skin, carrying the faintest scent of roses, making her heart flutter with unexpected joy.
Mahir, his voice now softer, whispered near her ear,
Mahir:- Kaisa laga?
( How is it?)
Aarushi couldn't speak, lost in the beauty of it all. Her eyes sparkled in the moonlight, a wide smile forming on her lips. She was mesmerized, not just by the view, but by the feeling this moment gave her freedom, trust, and a happiness she hadn't known since their marriage. Yes, she had felt content with their children, Kian and Kiana, but this... this was different. This was pure magic.
Mahir watched her, his heart swelling at the sight of her genuine happiness. A smile crept onto his face as he held her carefully, making sure she felt safe in his arms. Slowly, the helicopter began its descent, moving gently toward the earth below, but Mahir never let go of Aarushi, keeping her close and secure in his embrace. The rose petals continued to fall, creating a blanket of red around them as they gently floated back down to the peaceful ground, the night surrounding them with its quiet beauty.
