Switzerland,
Ashvik and Vridhi arrived in Switzerland just a few hours ago. The cool breeze and the breathtaking landscapes filled Vridhi with joy; it had been a long time since she had traveled. Before marriage, she used to go on solo trips every month, and now, after many days, she was finally visiting a new place. Seeing her so happy brought a quiet smile to Ashvik's face, though he noticed she was still keeping her distance, not talking to him much.
In their hotel room,
Vridhi stood by the large window, gazing at the snow-covered peaks and the serene blue of the lake below. The crisp air brushed against her face as she closed her eyes for a moment, taking in the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Unbeknownst to her, Ashvik watched her, captivated. He quietly took out his phone and clicked two or three pictures of her, savoring the peacefulness of the moment before slipping away into the washroom.
Tired from the journey, Vridhi soon moved to the bed and, too exhausted to even lie down, sat on the edge, drifting into sleep in a sitting position. When Ashvik came out of the washroom, he noticed her and gently walked over. Without waking her, he carefully lifted her legs onto the bed and adjusted her into a more comfortable position, tucking the blanket around her. For a brief moment, he hesitated, brushing a strand of hair from her face before heading outside to make an important call.
Ashvik: Sab taiyaar rakhna, aur kuch gadbad nahi honi chahiye.
(Make sure everything is ready, and there shouldn't be any mistakes.)
With that, he cut the call, his tone calm but firm as he looked out at the evening sky, shadows of something important weighing on his mind.
Some time later, Vridhi stirred and woke up, surprised to find herself lying in bed. She spotted Ashvik, who was sitting on the couch, focused on his laptop.
Vridhi(groggy):- Aapne mujhe uthaya kyu nahi.
(Why didn't you wake me up?)
Ashvik glanced up briefly, his voice gentle but with a hint of amusement.
Ashvik:- Maine socha ki tu thak gai hogi isliye maine thaare ko pareshan koni kiya.
(I thought you must be tired, so I didn't want to disturb you.)
Vridhi rolled her eyes slightly, though her lips hinted at a small smile.
Vridhi:- Aajkal aap kuch jyada hi nahi soch rahe.
(These days, you seem to be thinking a bit too much.)
Ashvik raised an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth lifting in a smirk.
Ashvik:- Na aur tu ab jaldi se naha le phir kuch kha le phir hum chalte hai ghumne.
(No, now you quickly take a bath, eat something, and then we'll go out.)
Vridhi( making face):- Abhi shaamko,aaj rehne dete hai na kal chalte hai,abhi mai bahut thak gayi hu.
(Right now, in the evening? Let’s skip it for today, we can go tomorrow. I’m really tired right now.)
Ashvik paused for a moment, his face tense, but then a soft smile crept onto his lips.
Ashvik:- Thik se.
(Ok.)
With that, he walked toward the balcony, as he made another call.
Ashvik:- Aaj ki taiyaari rehne do,kal karenge.
