KGOMOTSO

The school bell rang for breakfast and I was still fixing my skirt. It's a bit too short for my liking, but luckily the socks were long enough.

Mantwa was already in the cafeteria saving our table. Apparently it's first come first serve.

Yonela: "Ready for your first day in Saint Martins?" She seems to be different like she did not interrogate me last night.

Kgomotso: "Not really, hey."

Khosi: "Don't worry, people here are not as bad."

Kgomotso: "Really? because Yonela said the opposite." I look at Yonela.

Khosi: "She was trying to scare you." Yonela looks at Khosi. "What? It's the truth and you know that."

Yonela: "Anyways." Khosi and I burst out laughing.

We rushed all the way to the cafeteria where we saw Mantwa eating her breakfast and three other plates on our table.

Mantwa: "Asked them to plate for you guys."

Khosi: "Oh you're such angel, Mantwa."

Khosi is such a beauty queen. Our entire room smells like her perfume becuase she overdosed on the perfume before we left. She says it will attract the boys she likes. Such a drama queen.

Kgomotso: "Kana who's our register teacher?"

Mantwa: "Ms Sanchez."

Kgomotso: "That name sounds foreign."

Khosi: "That's because it is." Yonela rolled her eyes at Khosi.

Yonela: "Was there a need to be rude about it?"

Khosi: "Rude?" She looks at me. "Was I being rude, Motso?" I shake my head. She looked at Yonela. "See? You're just overreacting."

I knew where this was headed to so I had to think of a distratcion.

Kgomotso: "Guys. Would you guys like to do Bible studying with me some time?"

Mantwa suddenly came back to earth after she daydreamed.

Mantwa: "You do Bible studying too? Of course."

Kgomotso: "Yonela? Khosi?"

Khosi: "Bible study? What's that?"

Yonela: "You're kidding, right? You don't know what Bible studying is?" Khosi shook her head.

This could actually be a great opportunity to get Khosi closer to God.

Kgomotso: "But are you keen on learning?"

Khosi: "I mean, if y'all are doing it then why not?" I instantly ginned!

Seated right across our table was Simphiwe and his loud group of friends. I could notice he was looking at me, but with no emotion, but I couldn't help but notice his handsome glance. I felt my lips turn into a smirk.

Yonela: "Motso. Hello?" I came back to earth when I realised I was daydreaming. "Who are you looking at?

Kgomotso: "Nothing."

Khosi: "You seriously look very deep in your thoughts. Is everything okay? Missing home already?"

Kgomotso: "No. None of that. I'm just thinking."

Yonela: "About?"

Mantwa: "Okay guys stop already. What's with all these questions?"

Khosi: "Mantwa, darling. You could see that Motso is thinking about something."
