Valerie walked out the master bedroom, fixing her skirt in the process. She couldn't believe what she just did. She fucked her boyfriends bestfriend. Don't get her wrong, Rafe was great, more than great.

Perhaps even the best sex she's ever had. Kelce was far out of her head by now, she didn't want to think about him. She was so done with him.

Rafe walked out right after her, fixing his messy hair. He watched as Valerie walked over to the table where tons and tons of drugs were laid out.

Valerie took a seat next to Barry, who greeted her with a cheeky smile. "Hello, red. What would the birthday girl wish for?"

She looked at the table, her eyes scanning the drugs. She wanted to feel free. She wanted to stop the thoughts in her head. All she wanted was to feel good.

"Cocain." She looked deep into Barry's eyes.

He smiled at her, his golden tooth shinning in her direction before he set up a few lines for her. "For the birthday girl, it's on the house." He gave her a quick wink before leaning back into the couch and watching as Valerie bent over the table.

She took a one dollar bill and rolled it up, placing it to one of her nostrils, her other hand going up to her other nostril and closing it. She watched the line disappear as she snorted it. Her eyes closed as she let the substance burn into her body.

Before she could take another one, she felt a hand grip her upper arm and tug her up. "What the hell are you doing." Rafe's angry voice echoed into her ear.

"Chill out, bud." She laughed at him sarcastically, watching Rafe's face turn red. "Why do you even care?" Her eyebrows narrowed.

"I don't want you to ruin your life like I did mine. So please, quit this act and let me take you home."

"It's my party , Rafe." She yelled. "You fucked me, now leave me alone and stop acting like you care." She pushed him away, making him lose his grip on her before she bent down once again and repeated what she did earlier.

Rafe looked down at Barry with warning eyes. "If she overdoses, it's on you." He said before walking away.

Valerie stumbled around the living room, she needed air. Her sight became blurry as she walked outside, where the pool was. There was a crowd of multiple people dancing. She hasn't seen Kelce at all.

She reached for a drink, her throat throbbing of thirst.

Next thing she knew, someone's hands were placed on her hips. She had no clue who it was, but it definitely wasn't Kelce or Rafe. She knew what Kelce's hands were like, and Rafe, well, she knew that he had a ring on his finger. This person didn't have a ring.

"Hey darling. You look like you want to dance." The guy spoke into her ear. His hands trailed down her legs and then up to her hips once again.

"No-" She tried backing away but in her loss she nearly tripped over. The guy caught her, laughing before placing his lips on her neck. He held her tightly as his hands began to slide up her stomach and then reaching her chest. One of his hands cupped her breast as the other held her tightly against him.

"Stop." She breathed out trying to push the guy away. She felt as if she was going to pass out. Her body felt hot, as if she was burning. Her head ached. "Get off-"

Rafe watched as the brown-haired guy tried to take advantage of  Valerie. He was fuming in anger. Before he knew it he threw his cup away and began to march up to them. His fist already squeezed into a ball. Just as he reached them, he turned the guy around, and greeted him a hard punch to the face.

The others around stopped dancing and took a look at Rafe, who was beating up the unknown person.

His fist collided with his face multiple times untill it began to ache. "Didn't you hear her say no?" He yelled at him before pushing him away and moving to Valerie, who was bearly able to stand on her feet.

He picked up Valerie, Bride style, ignoring his bloodied fist that began to burn.

"Rafe?" She breathed, unable to open her eyes.

"I'm taking you home." He knew he had drank alcohol, he couldn't drive. Instead, he carried Valerie all the way to her house.

When he finally reached her house, he placed Valerie gently on the ground, still holding her and giving her support so she wouldn't fall over. "Where are your keys?"

Valerie slowly reached into the back pocket of her skirt , taking out a single key and handing it to Rafe. He opened the door and led her inside. He made sure the door was locked before placing the keys on the kitchen table and picked her up once again.

Holding Valerie in his arms, he marched up the stairs and headed to her bedroom. "Rafe?" Valerie opened her eyes lightly as he placed her on the bed. "Are you going to stay here with me?"

"Why would I stay here with you, Valerie." He spoke while looking in her closet for a shirt that he could change her into.

"Because-" she breathed out, a tear rolling down her cheek. "I'm scared."

Rafe's attention was back on Valerie. "What are you scared of." He frowned, beginning to take off her top and dress. He changed her into an oversized shirt and pulled the cover over her.

"I don't want Kelce to find me." She whispered.

"He won't hurt you, Valerie." He moved a piece of her hair gently behind her ear. "He's the one the fucked up."

"You don't know him like I know him." She shook her head lightly, before closing her eyes again. "He's never been like this, it's only a bad sign and a warning that he's capable of more."

"I'll come first thing in the morning." He whispered to her. "Good night, Valerie."

"Good night, Rafe."
