"Y/n, are you okay?" Chan her best friend asked as he watched Y/n hold her stomach with a groan escaping her mouth "Yup! Totally fine! What do you think?!" Y/n snapped as she shot a glare, Chan backed up with a little fear in his eyes. He had an assumption of what was bothering her but he was afraid that if he asked the question... either a chair or a table would be thrown at him at full speed. 'How do I ask without dying?' Chan asked as he thought to himself scared to voice out his question.

An idea lit his mind "I'll be right back." he said as he left the room "Be quick! Our stylists are coming in another 20 minutes!" Y/n yelled out to Chan, that the two of them were going to perform a singing duet together in front of millions of people. She huffed and groaned as she held her stomach in pain, it was only her second day of her period and currently, she was cursing Mother Nature for giving the pain of cramps to the women. "I'm gonna drop down and die at this point," Y/n muttered as she looked up at the mirror in front of her, she examined her skin and felt grateful that it wasn't having a breakout session with her.

20 minutes have passed and Chan has yet to arrive "Where is this boy?" Y/n heard one of the staff waiting for Chan to arrive out loud as Y/n sat still in her seat as her favourite hair stylist did her magic. "So, any idea where your boyfriend has gone?" Kameko asked as she styled Y/n's hair, Y/n rolled her eyes with a smile "He's not my boyfriend, you already know this." Y/n replied with the same response every single time Kameko was doing her hair "Yeah, but like you guys are so cute together." Kameko smiled like a teenage girl talking about her crush "I really have no idea what you and the fans are saying because there is no way Chan would ever date me." Y/n replied as she recalled every single fan edit of them together with flooding comments written by strangers saying how they hoped for Chan and Y/n to get into a relationship or saying how the chemistry between them was too much.

Just then the door opened and revealed Chan with a bag of [F/F] "Hi, sorry I'm late just wanted to pick these up for Y/n." Seungmin apologised deeply to the staff members and placed the bag in front of Y/n "What's this for?" Y/n asked as she looked at the bag and then at Chan confused about the random gift. Not that she was complaining though, in fact, she was craving [F/F] "I can tell what's going on with you so I bought your favourites." Chan briefly explained as he sat down on his own seat. "You didn't have to..." Y/n said as she grabbed a piece of food, she could feel a little blush creep up on her face "I know, I just wanted to." Chan said with a sweet smile. The blush on Y/n's face only grew hearing the reason that was said by Chan. "See? He's definitely into you!" Kameko whispered into Y/n's ear almost squealing "Oh my god, Kameko shut up!" Y/n said as she sank into her seat. Kameko laughed at her blushing face.

It was finally time for the performance, Chan and Y/n both stood on a lowered platform that would soon be lifted to the stage. The loud cheering and chanting that was coming from each and every one of their fans fueled their excitement and determination to do the best they could for tonight. Soon the platform started to rise and the cheering got louder and louder as the spotlight shined upon the two idols.

Chan lifted his mic up close to his mouth to sing his lines like how he had practised, "You know I want you, it's not a secret I try to hide." he started as the crowd went quiet as they listened intently to his voice "I know you want me, so don't keep saying our hands are tied." he sang as he placed his hand over his chest with a charming smile placed on his face. "You claim it's not in the cards and fate is pulling you miles away out of reach from me." he sang until he turned to face Y/n with a smile that Y/n swore was almost too loving to be a friendly one "But you're here in my heart so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny?" he sang without breaking eye contact with Y/n, fans noticed this and started to scream even louder. "What if we rewrite the stars? Say that you were made to be mine, nothing could keep us apart, you'd be the one that I was meant to find. It's up to you, and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be. So why don't we rewrite the stars? Maybe the world could be ours tonight." he finished the chorus and Y/n forced herself to look away from Chan.

"You think it's easy, you think I don't want to run to you." Y/n sang as she thought of all the times when she felt like running up to Chan at every event that she saw him at "But there are mountains and there are doors that we can't walk through." Y/n sang as she began to walk away from Chan "I know you're wondering why because we are able to be just you and me, within these walls." she sang wholeheartedly as her brain brought her back to the times when she would laugh and joke with Chan so much that she forgets about the world around the two of them "But when we go outside you're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all..." she thought of the times when her boss would scold her for not being more careful around Chan since someone had tried to create a rumour of the two of them being together with a picture of the two being close but the company had shut the rumour down. "No one can rewrite the stars, how can you say you'll be mine? Everything keeps us apart, and I'm not the one you were meant to find. It's not up to you, it's not up to me" she sang with her hand gripping the fabric that hovered over her chest as she thought of all the possible rumours, hate comments, and pictures of the two of them being close being released if she was to ever confess her love to Chan. "How can we rewrite the stars? Say that the world could be ours tonight." she sang her final line and suddenly she felt her hand being taken by Chan's own and pulled her in closely.

'This wasn't a part of the rehearsal...' she thought as the two of them began to sing the shared lines and with the excited cheering from the fans "All I wanted is to fly with you, all I want is to fall with you, so just give me all of you!" the two of them sang together with their voices beautifully mixing with one another making a perfect harmony, Y/n stepped back a bit but Chan had a firm yet soft grip on her wrist which gave her a sense of comfort "It feels impossible." Y/n sang facing him confused why would he not let go "It's not impossible." Chan sang back not wanting this moment to last "Is it impossible? Say that it's possible!" Chan and Y/n sang as they looked into each other's eyes. "How do we rewrite the stars? Say that you were made to be mine? Nothing can keep us a part and you'll be the one that I was meant to find." by then, both Chan and Y/n were so enhanced by each other's eyes that they couldn't hear the loud roars from or the glaring eyes from the crowds. "It's up to you, and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be, so why don't we rewrite the stars? Changing the world to be ours." the music fades softer.

"You know I want you, it's not a secret I try to hide." Y/n sang her last lines, she remembered who she and Chan were to the world and remembered that they could not be doing this and that they couldn't date. She could already feel the spiralling rumours with videos and pictures of the two of them during the concert. Hate comments will take over their posts and some might even leave hurtful messages in their dm's. "But I can't have you... we're bound to break and my hands, are tied." she sang hinting that she meant it and that she was suppressing her sadness over it as she let go of Chan's warm embrace. Chan sees it all, the change of mood, her worries glistening in her eyes, the way her smile loosened up almost into a frown, even how she wanted to look away from his own eyes. His thoughts were interrupted by the roars of cheer and still filled with excitement.

That's when he remembered, he was a idol, and so was she. They couldn't date. They were basically forbidden to date. No matter how badly they both wanted to, they couldn't. Even if they had the perfect harmony.
