[ Past To Present Lovers ] Hyunjin x Reader

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess named Lee Y/n. She had everything, beauty, a kind soul, and brains. She was the most enchanting lady in the whole kingdom and everyone can agree with the fact many noblemen had asked for her hand in marriage but she had kindly rejected them all. It was until a handsome young prince named Hwang Hyunjin heard of this beautiful princess. 

"Princess Lee Y/n? Isn't she Prince Lee Minho's sister?" Prince Hyunjin asked his butler as he closed the book that he was previously reading.

"Yes, your highness, Princess Y/n is 22 years old making her 2 years younger than Sir Minho." his butler informed him. "Sir, do remember that you and your parents will be having a meeting with the Royal Family of the Cat kingdom." the butler reminded Prince Hyunjin. 

"I see, thank you, Felix. That meeting nearly slipped my mind." Hyunjin smiled at Felix, Felix was his best friend "Also how many times do I have to tell you to drop the formality when it's just us?" Hyunjin smiled. 

"Sorry Jin, it's a habit." Felix smiled back at the prince. 

"Hey, Felix, do you know why my parents want to meet with Minho's parents?" Hyunjin asked Felix. Felix thought for a moment but sadly shook his head. 

"I wasn't informed why yet, maybe they'll tell you the reason soon." Felix thought out loud. Soon a knock was heard on Hyunjin's door. 

"Come in!" Hyunjin ordered the person that knocked on his door. The door opened revealing a maid. 

"Sir Hyunjin, your parents request your presence in the throne room." the maid bowed as she spoke. 

"Understood, I'll be heading there right now," Hyunjin answered as he nodded. The maid left the room then he started to walk to the throne room. When he arrived he saw his parents sitting on their thrones looking as powerful and elegant as him. "Mother, father, you requested for me?" Hyunjin asked. 

"Yes, my son. Hyunjin as you know, you are now 23 years old and one day I won't be here to rule our kingdom." Hyunjin's father started "Tomorrow we will be going to the Lee family's palace for a meeting with the parents and their only daughter, Lee Y/n to ask for her hand in marriage." his father finally got to the point. 

"Princess Y/n is a sweet girl, I'm sure you will love her!" his mother stepped into the conversation. 

"But I barely know her! What if she doesn't want to accept this marriage?" Hyunjin asked as he suddenly wondered how Y/n's reaction will be to this news. 

"Don't worry, this marriage is made by yours and Princess Y/n's choices." his father told, "If you and she wish to continue this marriage then it shall be it." his father continued. "We will be leaving early tomorrow so get some rest." his father ended the conversation with that. 

Hyunjin sighed and went to his room, it was his bedtime anyways so he just changed out of his royalty clothes and went into something more comfortable. He lay on his bed thinking about how would princess Y/n react to this news. Would she be happy? Or would she feel uncomfortable marrying someone she barely even knew? No one but the princess herself would know what she was feeling at the moment in her bed.

"Jeongin can you believe this? I'm going to meet THE Prince HWANG HYUNJIN!" Y/n said in a panic to her best friend. 

"Y/nnie calm down! Yes, you are going to be meeting Prince Hwang Hyunjin for the discussion on your marriage but seriously calm down!" Jeongin told as he shook Y/n by her shoulders to shake her out of her state of panic.
