Y/n was standing in the hall waiting for Niko to stop talking to his friend, Niko had agreed to Y/n to buy her a drink if she followed him to get his books from his locker but what Niko didn't tell her was that he would probably have to stop and talk with a friend for what seemed like 3 million years to Y/n. She scrolled through her phone as she waited for Niko and his friend to stop chatting but it seemed like she was going to be late to class because of him.
She continued to scroll through her phone until Niko pulled Y/n over "Bro what the hell?" Y/n asked as she looked up at Niko, he was fairly taller than her so she had to look up slightly to look at him in the eye. Niko said nothing but put his hand on Y/n's hand and made her turn to the side to where he was looking "Isn't that Chan? And who's that girl?" Niko asked as Y/n stared at Chan and a girl walking, talking and laughing as they walked to class. Y/n felt her heart thug a bit seeing the sight but she didn't think much of it "How would I know?" Y/n asked as she shooed Niko's hand off of her head "You okay?" Niko asked as he backed up a little "Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Y/n asked feeling confused as to why Niko would ask such a question so randomly "Cause I don't think your book is gonna survive..." Niko spoke slowly, only then did Y/n realise that she was holding a book in her other hand and was currently squeezing it to death.
"Oop," Y/n said as she looked at the crumbled book "Oh it's not my book." she said as she checked the cover of the book "It's not yours? Wait then... MY BOOK!" Niko yelled as he snatched his book out of Y/n's hands as Y/n shrugged "Problem? Not my problem, that's just not my problem." Y/n sang out the lyrics of that one Tiktok audio and began to walk away "Y/n!!" Niko yelled as he ran after her.

"You owe me fifty bucks for the book." Niko grumbled as he ate his food, and as promised he had bought Y/n her favourite drink "Fifty bucks for a comic? Since when were comics that expensive?" Y/n asked as she stabbed her straw into her drink and started to slurp it "Nah, comic alone costs like 10-15 bucks I just need the extra cash for myself, cause you know, I'm broke as fuck." Niko shrugged with a smile as Y/n rolled her eyes "Who the fuck said I got that kind of cash?" Y/n said as she raised an eyebrow.
"Whatever man." Niko shook his head as he went for another bite of his burger, when he bent his head down Y/n caught a glimpse of Chan but he was still with the girl from earlier. Y/n finally had gotten a good glimpse of the girl, her hair was coloured jet black which ended right at her shoulders, her eyes were round, her lips looked like they were glazed with a peach-coloured lip gloss, her figure was slim and tall and her walk looked delicate. Y/n stopped sipping on her drink to stare at the beauty, the more she realised that she looked nothing like the girl, the more she felt her heartache and burn.
'Who is she... she's so pretty. Channie looks like he's having a good time with her, does he like her? Maybe he does, she looks so pretty. Why am I even jealous? I'm not even dating Chan... he probably likes her, I don't look like that.' Y/n's thoughts began to spiral as her blood began to boil and her gut churned and turned. "EARTH TO Y/N!" Niko suddenly yelled which brought Y/n back to her senses "Huh? Who died? What's up? Someone put ice down your pants?" Y/n quickly asked as she focused on Niko instead of the girl. "You looked like you were about to bash someone's head with a metal baseball bat, you good bro?" Niko asked genuinely worried about Y/n's behaviour lately today. Y/n smiled as she clenched on her skirt beneath the table "Yeah, yeah I'm good." Y/n forced up a smile but since Niko had known Y/n for a long time he could already tell that she wasn't okay but decided not to bring it up anymore.
"Come on, we have English next," Niko said trying to get Y/n's head out of the gutter and drag her to the next class. "Yeah, let's go," Y/n said as she got up, this worried Niko even more since normally she would whine and not want to move to the next class but now she's just going herself. "Oh yeah, have you checked the bulletin board?" Niko asked as the two of them walked to class "Huh? No, why?" Y/n asked as she couldn't remember why would they need to check the bulletin board that was put up in their English class by their teacher. "Last week Mr Ming Jun mentioned that we're doing a presentation but he's choosing the pairs so he said he'll put up the pairs there," Niko explained recalling from the last English class they had "Oh yeah, now I remember. Whoopsies." Y/n forced up a chuckle as she could still recall the times when she saw Chan with that brunette girl together "Okay, times up. What is up with you?" Niko asked as he grabbed Y/n's arm "What? Nothing is wrong." Y/n said trying to hide the fact that she had been jealous of the pretty girl that Chan was with "You haven't been the same ever since you saw Chan today." Niko pointed out as he placed both of his hands on Y/n's shoulders and started to violently shake her. "What is wrong?!?!?" Niko yelled as he pulled out the letters while Y/n felt like she was going to puke out her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. "If I tell you will you stop that?!" Y/n asked loudly and in an instant, Nico stopped it and let her go.
"I'm just jealous." Y/n huffed out quietly but was loud enough to get Niko to hear it "Jealous? Wait you're jealous of the girl that has been hanging out with Chan this entire time?!" Niko exclaimed as he followed Y/n continuing their walk to class "Could you be any louder?" Y/n glared her eyes at Niko "Oop, sorry! But why would you be so jealous? They seem like they're friends and nothing more." Niko shared his own opinion "Because Niko, have you seen her? She's so fucking pretty! She genuinely looks like a goddess compared to me! And seeing how Chan and her get along so well would make anyone think that they're dating! There's no way Chan would ever like someone as boring as me when he has that walking 10/10 right next to him!" Y/n exclaimed as she stopped walking and started to throw every single thought she had to Niko who was standing in front of her.
"She looks like the definition of perfect! Her body is so slim, and she's tall! And have you seen her face shape? It just fits her way too perfectly!" Y/n started to spill "Hold on Y/n..." Niko muttered a bit loudly but Y/n didn't catch it, "How will I ever be able to talk to Chan when he looks like he's having the time of his life being with her?!" Y/n said as she threw a hand to her hair, too stressed out to worry about her looking like a crazy person who was about to lose her sanity. "Uhhh Y/n?" Niko called out but Y/n blankly ignored him, "I mean like, what can I do?? I'm not that tall, I'm just decent looking which is kinda rare nowadays. But seriously, he probably likes her! I mean come on, who wouldn't get a crush on a girl who literally looks like makeup was made for other girls to look like her!" Y/n continued to ramble "Y/n!" Niko finally called out which caught Y/n's attention "What Niko?! What?! Do you wanna agree that Chan probably likes her?! Well, go ahead!" Y/n yelled out finally letting her hair go as Niko grabbed her and turned her around.
She now understood why Niko was trying to catch her attention because behind her stood the girl and Chan... "How much did you hear..." Y/n asked to hope that it wasn't much "From when you called me a goddess and until now." the girl said with a cheeky smirk "By the way, you're Y/n?" she asked and got her confirmation when Y/n nodded "Eeek! You are just as pretty as how Chan described you! By the way, darling don't worry, I'm not into dating my cousin, Channie here. I'm into girls, so if he doesn't want you I'll gladly hit you up." she winked as Chan looked at her in disbelief "Ryujin!" Chan yelled out "Sorry dude, but your girl here is a cutie. By the way, you should date him, I'm getting tired of hearing him yap and yap all day about you." Ryujin whispered over to Y/n and soon dragged Niko away with her to leave the two alone.
"So, she was your cousin?" Y/n asked feeling stupid for being jealous of someone Chan wouldn't even date "Yup, so, you like me?" Chan asked feeling a smirk creep up his face "Oh shut up you heard me loud and clear earlier." Y/n rolled her eyes as Chan pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her waist "Yes I did, now don't need to have such a jealous heart. I love the so-called decent-looking you. Oh and, you're so much more prettier than what you described Ryujin as." he said lovingly as he buried his nose into Y/n's cheek making her laugh and look away as Chan pushed it closer while chuckling.
