Chapter 4 : nightmares and friendship

" I killed Sirius Black ! I killed Sirius black ! Did you really have to love him baby potter?" "crucio!" Green flash of light, Cedric's corpse drop dead in front of harry then he heard his mum's voice crying "no please, not Harry, not Harry, kill me but spare harry"

"Harry, harry, wake up ! It's alright it is just a nightmare, wake up" Sirius who was sleeping next to harry had been woken up by Harry's screams and he was shaking Harry while saying that and he indeed woke up

"I, I, Sirius I am so sorry I wake you, god my head hurts" responded Harry who just remembered that his godfather was sleeping next to him. They were both send to a room in the hospital wing and before going to sleep he had been seen by the nurse to be sure everything was alright with him after Voldemort's possession.

"No need to apologize, that's the reason I stayed with you tonight, sit down slowly and take a deep breath, I think that nightmare gave you a sort of panic attack in your sleep. I know what is it like, I sometimes have that too since Azkaban, it is due to post traumatic stress and you have been thought a lot. You are not obliged to tell me about your nightmare but if you want to, I can listen, I won't judge you"

Harry hesitated but his words convinced him to open up. "Well, it begun with Bellatrix shouting that she killed you and I relieved the moment I was chasing her and, I am very ashamed of that but... Sirius I used crucio on her at that moment. I really wanted to make her suffer at least half of what I was suffering. Maybe I am not a good person because I really wanted that at the moment. Then Voldemort even tried to convinced me to kill her. Which I didn't.

Then the scene shifted and I saw Cedric getting killed in front of me, then it became all dark, and I saw a green light and heard my mother when she died. Then you woke me up"explained Harry.

Sirius put a hand on Harry's shoulder and rubbed it to confort him a bit.

"I'm sorry you have to relive those moments in your sleep Harry, really sorry. As for the crucio part, Who am I to judge you. I was emprisonned for twelve years because I wanted to kill that damn rat. The thing is, yes using an unforgivable curse was very wrong, but sometimes despair makes us do very wrong choices, and even then you managed to stop and not kill the bitch. That makes you a way better and stronger person than I am because I don't know if I would have stopped myself if I had got the chance to end wormtail. You know, we've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are. And even in that moment you chose not to kill her. But you have to promise me you will try to not do that again Harry"

"I promise"

"As for now, you need to clear your head as much as you can. I can sneak into the kitchens and fetch you something if it helps"

"Nah it's okay, but I am sure Dobby would have been more than happy to help you with that"

"Dobby?" Asked Sirius

"Yeah he was the malfoy's family house elf who wanted to save my life but he had some let's say weird ways to do so. One day I found him in my room at the dursley's one day on which my uncle was having his boss over for dinner during the break between first and second year, just imagine how thrilled  I was. He basically told me that I couldn't return to hogwarts because something dark was going to happen and when I refused he made the cake levitate and land on my uncles wife's head. Next thing I knew I had bars on my window"

"You WHAT now? I am going to transform them into the nasty roaches they are inside" Gasped Sirius

Harry instantly felt guilty that he said that. The last thing he wanted was to get Sirius arrested again because he went reckless on the dursley's for mistreating him"Don't please, it's in the past and never happening again since you are here"
