Chapter 11 : occlumency and Dumbledore's request

Harry woke up quite late the next day and nothing really special happened. As it still was his birthday Sirius took him (under disguise of course) see a movie and they had a fast food after that. It was strange to think that now this was normal for Harry. He did thank Sirius again for the diary and they had a good laugh about what Harry told him he read. Sirius told him that is mum had indeed started to soften up with him too about that time and that she did play it cool for a while like she did not fancy his dad that much but it was absolutely obvious to anyone with eyes. His favourite game at the time was of course teasing the both of them about it. The night after the Halloween dance James wouldn't shut up about the fact Lily returned his kiss. Sirius, Remus and Peter had even considered throwing him out of their dorm room to be able to get some sleep without hearing "guys, do you believe it? She didn't rejected me ! She even looked like she liked it!". But deep down even though he was absolutely annoying they were all happy for him as he had spend the last 6 years telling them how much he had a crush on Lily, then acting like he did not care. No one believed that of course. And then being back to talking about how much he fancies her.

Harry couldn't help but feel somehow conforted by the fact that even though his dad was a really popular student he also kind of sucked with girls and spend much of his time dreaming about his mum. Sirius mentioned that he tried setting him up on multiple dates but that went absolutely poorly cause every time he was acting like a jerk. One time he accidentally called a girl he kissed "Lily" right after and she slept him so hard that he hade a trace for the rest of the day, which earned him load of comment from his friends for like a month.

Three days later an owl from hogwarts arrived with a letter from harry and a big package that was the pensive Sirius had asked Dumbledore to be able to practise occlumency with Harry.

Dear Mister Potter,

I am happy to announce you that you have been chosen as gryffindor's quiddich captain for the upcoming school year.

I trust that you will take this responsibility very seriously and wish you good luck.

You will find your captain badge attached with this letter.

"Quiddich captain ! That's my boy" cheered Sirius very enthiusiastly "I bet your father is even prouder than I am right now, though it's not a surprised I was amazed of how you fly when I came to see your 3rd year match against Hufflepuff as padfoot. I must say the student has surpassed the master you're even better than he was. I'm looking forward to come see that properly" continued Sirius still smiling proudly at Harry

"So you'll come to watch my matches?" asked Harry with hope in his voice. He always felt a little jealous of student's whose parents came to cheer them up during quiddich matches but with his only relative being a hunted man it wasn't really a possibility until now.

"Wouldn't miss it !"

"Thanks ! That surely would be a better crowd than the dementor's of that match" said Harry bitterly on the last part.

"I'm still sorry about that it is kinda my fault... Anyway as the pensive is here, do you feel ready to start occlumency lessons today?" Asked Sirius on a more serious tone

"Well I won't say I'm looking forward to it but I guess I am ready" said Harry trying to look as confident as he could.

Sirius must have sensed the fact that he was trying to hide his worries cause he tried to encourage Harry as he could "Don't worry, I won't try to invade your private thoughts as Snive.. Snape did and if you want you can put whatever you don't want me to see in that pensive so it would be easier for you".
