Chapter 5 : The trial

The last two days were rather stressful for Harry. Sirius's trial was everywhere on the news and everyone was chatting about it in the great hall which didn't really help with the heavy stomach he was feeling thanks to his anxiety about it.

The daily prophet had also mentioned that "the convicted mass murderer Sirius Black had been revealed to be the chosen one's godfather" which was attracting even more attraction to Harry who was already quite annoyed by that new nickname even though it was indeed a progress from "the boy who lies"

"You should eat something" adviced Hermione by sitting next to him in griffindor's table

"Yeah mate, food is everything !" Added Ron who was putting a pile of pancakes in his plate

"Yeah I know but my stomach won't take anything. I can't help but think about what will happen if this doesn't go well and I have to stay positive because I can't show Sirius that I'm freaking out or else he will probably be more freak out too if it's not already the case"

"Come on Harry, Sirius always have been the brave type I'm sure he is alright he mus even be relieved that he will finally be heard after all those years. it's going to be alright I'm sure. They can't put back to jail an innocent who already has been there for twelve years and without a trial. Besides fudge is already on thin ice he can't make a mistake like that again right now. The news said he will probably loose his job" reassured Hermione

"And of course Dumbledore is defending him. He is the most powerful wizard alive and he managed to convince them to not expell you last summer" added Ron

"Yeah well it's not like he has been very popular this last year, neither am I so maybe the fact that we are giving him our support will make things less and preventing my expulsion is nothing like a trial for mass murder I fear" responded Harry with a stern look

"If you were still the boy who lies maybe but you're the great chosen one now" responded Ron with a smirky smile

"Yeah maybe, anyway I have to go to Dumbledore's office, we are going there by floo. I will tell you everything when I come back"

"Good luck !" The both responded

"Good morning Harry" greeted Dumbledore when he entered his office.

"Good morning professor" responded Harry.

"I see you look very tensed, I can assure you I am going to do everything I can for this trial to have the issue we all want. I owe it, to both of you"

"Thanks professor, are we going straightaway?"

"Yes I'll go first and you can follow me" Dumbledore went into the chimney and said loudly "ministery of magic, justice departement"

Harry did the same a few seconds later and ended up on the front of the same door of the day he had his trial. He rubbed his robes to be as presentable as he could when he heard a familiar voice greeting him

"Harry ! Hi" greeted Sirius with a smile that still seemed very tensed to Harry. Still his godfather managed to look very good. He was wearing simple black robes but since he had gained some weight back by staying at square grimmauld he was beginning to look effortlessly great in everything again like Harry had seen in his parent's wedding picture

"Hi Sirius, how are you?" Said Harry while quickly hugging his godfather
"For a man who is ready to have a trial for murder, I guess I'm ok. But, Harry if anything goes wrong I need you to promise me that you will keep the troubles to a minimum and that you won't do anything crazy, okay?" Responded Sirius with a serious tone

"I won't promise you that because there is no need to as everything is going to be okay" said Harry with the most confident tone he could manage to have, even though he was feaking it he wanted to encourage Sirius as well as he could
